My bro works for Philips and he tried getting a discount on this monitor. He was told that Philips just licenses their name to a korean company. They do not actually make any tv's or monitors so he can't get a discount on this unit. Not stopping me from buying one but interesting fact.

Beyond Earth was so spectacularly bad. I won't be buying anything from firaxis until it's in the bargain bin if they are lucky.

Humanscale m2/flex is the answer for dual monitors.

I've been using asus motherboards exclusively in all of my builds for the last 10 years or so.

Humanscale M2 flex check it out on ebay for the best price.

I have had it set to high performance and the only thing that goes to sleep is the monitors after 15 minutes (it's been set this way for a couple years). I've basically disabled the monitors going to sleep in the meantime and I don't have a problem when it's configured this way obviously...

Is there a way to automate trade routes? I'm so sick of having to re-tell them where to go every few turns.... Seems like every turn that's all I do is coordinate trade routes.

The game play seems solid.. but it's really lacking depth as others have stated. It feels like it's not a complete game and I'm sure that's intentional for future expansions. I'm a little underwhelmed overall.

Actually that was going to be a follow-up question. So if you use SLI you can't use any of the video ports in the second card? If the 4 connections didn't work my next step was to look at using SLI and utilizing the ports on the second card but I guess that isn't an option.

I second this. You'll notice the black light bleed in the corners pretty much goes away if you aren't at 100 brightness. I turned it down to 40 and it is actually comfortable on the eyes.

I think the Humanscale M8 is overkill (handles monitors up to 40 lbs.) The monitor weighs only 14 lbs. The humanscale M2 handles up to 20 lbs.
