Hi all,
I just added a Samsung 980 Pro to my ROG Strix Scar 15 G533 laptop. This is in addition to the existing SK Hynix OS drive. Typically in my systems with Samsung nvme drives I use the Samsung nvme driver. In this case, however, I also have a non-Samsung drive. Can I (and should I) install...
Hi all,
Finally upgraded my old i7 3770 system to a new Ryzen 5900x system consisting of:
ROG Strix X570-E
Gskill Neo Z 2x16GB at 3600
Fuma 2 cooler
CPU is running stock speeds. After 2 hours of AIDA64 stability test, HWiNFO shows:
CPU (Tctl/Tdie) average of 76.3C. Min 46.6C and max 79.3C...
Hi all,
I snagged the first 1080 I could find in stock and now am questioning that decision. I've always purchased evga cards in the past but this one was MSI. Are these Founder's Edition cards just reference boards manufactured by nvidia? If not, is MSI any good? Anyone have experience with...
I picked up this card at Best Buy today based upon its good reviews. Installed it with no issue but once I rebooted and ran GPU Z I noticed it was not factory overclocked as advertized. Core and Shader clocks were 607 and 1215.
I called Galaxy support and the rep was clueless. He told me to...
Question to you OC experts. About a month ago I built a new system consisting of:
Asus Rampage II Gene
Core i7 920
Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D DDR3-1600 memory (3 x 2GB)
XFX Radeon 5850
Corsair HX520 PSU
Two optical drives and two Seagate HDD
Windows 7 64-bit
It was NOT my plan to OC this...
I've been stock watching for a few days now trying to catch a 5850, particularly XFX, in stock. Finally today I found one at NCIXUS.com for $251 but it's Powercolor. The price seemed good and the site has good seller ratings so I placed an order.
I searched the forum and found a few threads...
Hello,
I just purchased a 2GB kit of Kingston HyperX (KHX3200AK2/2G) RAM for my evga NF41. It is rated to run 2-3-2-6 1T at 2.6v. I set the timings in BIOS and, after experiencing memtest instability, upped the voltage to 2.75. I could then run memtest and prime95 for hours with no errors...
I have a P4 3.0C running at 3.45GHz on an Abit IC7-G mobo. Voltage is 1.575.
My non-load temp is ~40C but when running dual instances of Prime95 it goes up to ~60C. I'm using the stock Intel HSF but with arctic silver paste (thermal pad was removed). Are those temps ok? The system is...
From an overall system performance standpoint, especially gaming, which is better?
1) P4 3.375 GHz w/225MHz DDR RAM (1:1)
2) P4 3.675 GHz w/198MHz DDR RAM (5:4)
Due to RAM limitations, those are the two options I have. So I guess I'm wondering is more cpu power better than more memory...
Does anyone know what the hard drive speed on the Vaio V505EX is? It has a 60GB drive but rpm speed isn't listed on Sony's web site anywhere.
Thanks,

I'm trying to decide between a Toshiba Tecra M2 which uses a GeForce FX 5200 64MB and a Sony Vaio V505EX which uses a Mobility Radeon 9200 32MB.
I've read in other forums that the 32MB Radeon has only a 64-bit memory interface and is significantly hampered by it. So which one would I be...
