I'd like the same information for my iPad. I can't seem to get it to access the regular website even when I enter the URL directly. It used to work without the mobile version.
Yes, all Z68 boards may well yield the same onboard GPU performance, but since reviewers seldom (almost never) provide the integrated GPU data, a reader is left in the dark. Thanks for your response.
Helpful, clear review. I would have liked to see some tests of the onboard graphics since the board seems designed for use of integrated GPU. I realize that most enthusiasts would use a separate GPU, but then why choose this MB? I'm considering this MB for a non-gaming rig.
Thanks.
Wow, that would be great. :)
Generally I will be using the rig for things like Photoshop/Lightroom, .NET programming, and the usual assortment of Office applications. Although not display related (unless one is using the graphics card engine to do the work), I also fold for the [H]orde...
Thanks for the clarification. Good to hear that 1920x1080/1200 is possible. I have an LG E2340T monitor that runs at 60Hz, so I'm guessing that it would work.
I'm thinking of building a non-gaming box and using the on-board graphics. The Z68X-UD3H-B3 is looking like the motherboard for me...
Thanks for the nice review.
The DVI not being able to run 1920x1080 is a downer. Do any of the other GB boards support 1920x1080 with the onboard graphics?
A couple of weeks ago I tried to install Win7 SP1 on my laptop. I had one heck of a time getting the download through Windows Update...it would stall out and just sit there. After an hour I would abort and try again. After several attempts I somehow got it to install, and so far so good.
Thanks rudy. Hopefully someone who knows for sure will reply.
Does anyone know if the newest Photoshop uses / benefits from a discrete graphics card (for photos)?
I'm considering the Z68 for a system that will not be a gaming rig (programming, Photoshop, Lightroom, Office, Folding).
Any idea if the onboard graphics are sufficient for Photoshop? And, I presume that one could always add a dedicated video card later...right?
I add my PS3 to my folding garden for about 1 year. It worked well and survived. To battle the dust buildup, I periodically used the boot-up trick to run the fan(s) at high speed. Here's a link:
Because the points/kW were not great, I now reserve the PS3 for Rock Band, Blue Rays, and viewing...
Very helpful thread!
I'm considering a U2711 (when the price is right), and I'll be using it mainly for programming (visual studio), photography (photoshop), and office stuff.
How is text on the U2711?
Thanks,
