What's the best way to disable scripts in Chrome? I use Firefox sometimes with noscript. The problem is I go to so many sites that it's useless since almost every site doesn't load properly and it ends up wasting a lot of time (especially if it's for work)
Is there any reason why someone can't write an app to be more like Windows 8 mobile or any other mobile OS where that can't happen at all?
It would be nice to be able to have some family members only browse with that web browser, so there are simply no infections possible short of actually...
If you are using Windows 8 in the full screen side and running the Chrome app, or Explorer app, etc. Is it not all integrated like the regular windows side, so it's more like Android, Windows mobile, and iOS, where you don't get infected by maleware, viruses, spyware, etc?
Or since it's...
Is $139 the cheapest way I can put Windows 8 on my new laptop since Microsoft no longer is doing the update? I mistakenly ordered my Alienware m14x with Windows 7 instead of 8! :(
It should arrive in a day or 2 now. If the laptop is good, I don't want to send it back and wait another 3 weeks or...
I have windows 8 Pro running on my desktop in my office. I'd like to encrypt the drive as I am going to be switching my client medical records to digital and I don't want anyone who steals it to have access to my stuff.
The motherboard doesn't have TWP (I didn't think about that when ordering...
On my android phone I have a program that shows me real time wireless network strength. I need something more accurate then the white bars I see in Windows 7/8. I got a new network adapter and I'm trying to pick up a weak signal on my office computer.
what is a free small program, with no...
Motherboard is an ASRock H77M and video card is a Power Color 7770 Ghz edition
My budget got cut so this is what I have to work with for a processor. I have plenty of power from the PSU in this one. 600Watts and only a single HDD.
The PSU seems to be working good. How much voltage do you think my pc is running?
Intel Core i3-3240 3.4GHz
AsRock H77M ITX
Corsair Vengeance 1x 4GB 1600 Memory
2.5" WD Scorpio Blue SSD 160GB
USB receiver for mouse & keyboard (single logitch)
USB Wireless adapter
I will try it in the computer tomorrow when I get to the office. I'm going to hope it works. It was only $40 dollars which wasn't to bad. I'd like to have another name brand one, but I do need the computer up and running to deal with clients. Music in the office is also controlled by the...
ASROCK H77M 2 boards
ASROCK H77M ITX 1 board
The thermaltake fit onto the board just fine. The only issue was with the fan, but this isn't a power build. It's for spread sheets, scheduling, web browsing, facebook, etc.
the plastic is to large and doesn't fit into the holes into 3 different mother boards. It's effectively useless so it's going back to Newegg. I did manage to get it to fit one older board by taking a piece of plastic and a 2.5LB weight and hammering it on for fun. It took off the connector from...
The Geek squad guy told me he has seen his friends light on fire of that model! :O Maybe this is a common problem with this model?
I picked up a cheap Dynex 400W and saved $11 haha I'm only running an i3 8GB RAM, 1 HDD and 3 case fans.
This is a new PSU I got from Best Buy after the one I purchased from Newegg was out of spec on the 24pin so it wouldn't fit onto a board properly. I'll see what else Best Buy has as I need one. This is currently to loud to have in my office.
I have a Thermaltake TR2 430W. The fan on it is very quiet, but then it gets very loud. tipping the case to the side makes it quiet for a while, but then it gets loud again. Is this a bad PSU?
Another friend came over with another PSU to test it. We've verified this is now the 3rd H77M that isn't working. I will try to exchange this one more time, then I'm going to switch Mobos.
Yeah, I checked several times to make sure it was the correct set of jumpers. I decided to return the case and motherboard. I'm just going to buy an ITX size case and Mobo after that. This case was larger then I wanted anyways.
It won't give me 2 separate UPS printouts and of course I don't...
I tried the new PSU and it works the same as the first one it seems. I can very rarely get it to boot with the screwdriver by the + - for the power switch.
The only way I can always turn it on is by removing the clear CMOS jumper and using the screw driver on the reset far right and middle...
If take it to a shop I might as well spent more money on a prebuilt. I didn't see what I wanted though. Ill figure this out I hope. Ill try PSU first and Mobo after that. Now I'm afraid to do an RMA with newegg after seeing things all over the web about them claiming damages. I wish I saw that...
The mono also seems like it is bent down on the far left side. When I was pressing down on the 24 pin I did put cardboard under it so I wouldn't bend or snap the Mobo.
When the pc was running it ran perfect. It did turn on most of the time but now I can't really get it to turn on. For the...
i have the mobo on cardboard with only the RAM, CPU, and HDD hooked up. Using a screw driver I was able to make it turn on once, but I haven't been able to get it to turn on a 2nd time.
The 24pin is something I am having issues with it. It goes in so hard that I can not push it in with my bare hands.I can push it 95% of the way onto it, but getting the snap part to go over just isn't working. I have no way of telling which is out of spec though. It's definitely not going...
I found one here http://www.amazon.com/Syba-SD-CM-UAUD-Adapter-C-Media-Chipset/product-reviews/B001MSS6CS/ref=cm_cr_dp_hist_5?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&filterBy=addFiveStar
Is this a good one? I want to game and listen to music with very good quality sound if possible. I didn't just pay 150...
I have an Asus notebook, and there is feedback and static that is a known problem that comes out of the headphone jack. This makes good sound hard to get out of it.
Where can I get a good quality usb to headphone adapter?
I can't get networking to work properly between Vista and Leopard.
They are both set to WORKGROUP. I can not access the leopard machine from Vista at all.
In Leopard I can not find a way to see computers on the network, but I did enable SMB and can manually type if an IP address then...
Spaces and bootcamp is what I'll be looking forward to the most. Also time machine could be a life saver if I ever really mess something up or delete a file by accident or rename one :)
People have wanted 64bit software since windows 2000 64bit. Then it was Windows XP, now it MIGHT be Vista. Whenever I hear the 64bit guys I have to wonder when is it actually going to get here.
