This is for a company I work for, they don't have the ability to buy products on ebay, and they certainly can't upgrade the machine to current specs.
They are needing a PCI video card, with of course VGA out, CATV in, and AV ins and outs.
I can't find any that I'm 100% sure will work...
I *really* like the stupid-easy interface of NERO Vision.
I use it to burn movies/tv shows I download off the internet, and put them onto a DVD complete with menu, etc.
The only problem is, it commonly runs into encoding process where the audio is a few seconds off from the video. Quite...
My Sonata 2 PSU just crapped out the other week as well.
It keep getting shut down via power outtages and after the last one..it never came back to life.
Well until I see limits, there is no reason to upgrade. I sure would have kicked myself in the ass if I would have bought a $100+ dollar PSU now that my setup is perfectly capable.
I'm sure there is a breaking point to everybox, but the PSU is not the bottle neck here.
I ended up getting the 7800GT.
No-tweak scores have been roughly 16000 in 3dmark03
No-tweak scores have been roughly 7400 in 3dmark05.
The stock PSU that came with the Sonata has been fine so far, and I've stress tested the box as hard as it'll get played.
That's with 6 USB devices, 2...
I ended up getting everything above. Couldn't be happier so far.
EVGA 7800GT is by far the loudest part of the system, will be trying to get a silent cooler on it in the near future.
Can't believe how fast these SATA drives are, running avg times under HD tach at about 53MB/s. I took...

eVGA 7800GT card, rest of specs here:
AMD x2 3800
WD 250gb SATA Drives x 2
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
OCZ 2gb Memory (ddr400)
Antec Sonata 2 Case (going for nearly quiet setup)
Pioneer 108 Optical Drive (hand me down from old...
Are there any slighly less expensive PSU's out there that fit the bill for quiet?
I just REALLY hate the fan sound by a big gaming PC. Been there, done that.
You'd really suggest a $160 power supply? And a $50 case?
That just made my budget jump up by $110. It's already on the verge of being too $$$ right now anyhow.
I can't see spending that much on a power supply. Especially when I've NEVER personally had a power supply die in my 10years...
Brand new HP 1702 LCD 17", in box, factory sealed.
$150/shipped.
Won't last long, I may have another one as well.
Please email, [email protected] or respond in this thread.
Filezilla is the BEST FTP client I've ever used in the last 10 years. Plus its free, so you don't have to go hunting for cracks or anything silly like that if you are a warez d00d.
I can't seem to get my video card to output the 1620x1050 resolution that this 20" LCD is designed for, at least not on the DVI.
I've only had the monitor hooked up for a few minutes, via DVI. I see under display properties under "secondary monitor" that I have full access to all resolution...
I have 2 of these LCD's, brand new in box.
Ordered them for a client, and they backed out. I'm stuck with them, and looking for a quick sale.
You can search google or froogle for images/current prices.
Here's a good link...
I've never been a fan of any factory based software to transfer pictures to the PC.
I've always used opened the memory card folder and transferred onto the hard drive, and then did any type of resizing/editing from the local drive.
The only exceptions to this would be photo stich software.
Maybe because I was at the park with my girlfriend and wanted to try something out long range when I noticed the kid at the water fountain?
Or maybe because it was my friends daughter?
Shot of someones kid I took in the park yesterday..at least 80yards away..

More to come, only the 2nd day I've had the camera. :)
Looking for something along the lines of an IC7 board as far as features.
MSI/GIGABYTE are fine as well, as I've had good luck with those. CPU won't be overclocked much if any, and will be done on stock cooling. Would like SATA compatibility, and will be using 2700-3200 ram (1gig)...
