Howdy, strangers. I haven't been around these parts in a long while. I've got my daily up and running and I'll see what else I can fire up, I've still got a 4P set up in the basement, now let's see if she'll boot.
I don't know if it is accurate or if posting it would be allowed, but the whois of hardfolding.com has been the same for years and includes contact info. I would suspect that Kyle has his contact info as well. Hardfolding.com copies the entirety of hardocp.com which I think would not be...
Yes, it will send the results automatically unless you have restricted it under Tools>Computing Options>Network Usage. If you are impatient, you can click Projects>Word Community Grid>Update and it will send them immediately (unless their server is busy).
Try booting the board with only CPU0 and minimal memory installed. What do you have plugged into your USB ports?
See here for error codes and this SR-2 thread that goes through much of the troubleshooting, many things should be similar.
Personal experience here. Compare fax codecs and performance between ooma and obihai (obihai with various VOIP providers) if fax is still important to you.
No matter what you decide, do NOT port your number to ooma, choose google voice or ringto to port to and forward from there. Porting out...
Calibre is what you are looking for. Open an Amazon account and you can email the .pdf's to the kindle or transfer via the USB charging cable and a laptop/desktop. You don't need to buy your ebooks from Amazon to use it.
If you don't have wifi, I guess I don't understand why you would buy a...
The best advice I can give you is to put a cheap USB powered netbook cooler underneath the replacement to keep the internals cool. The fan bearings wear out about every two years, so check on it once in a while. I also find smallnetbuilder.com helpful.
#6 After one year there will be a software update and you will need to buy a new car because the one you just updated will now not drive faster than 15MPH and the blinkers no longer function.
I don't have my linux box running right now, but from memory you need to hover your cursor at the top of the linux BOINC manager for those options to appear. In windows they are in the same place, but always visible.
Since you are just testing the BOINC waters, I would avoid managers and just use the BOINC client for now. Try out a few projects, but only run a couple at a time to narrow the range of issues until you are more familiar.
According to Joe_H, 8108 is set on the WS incorrectly. While listed as a beta project in Kasson's thread, it currently appears on both psummary and psummaryB and is set to go out to a minimum of 24 cores. Because of this, you can receive 8108 without using a beta flag until the WS is fixed.
That will get you P8106. <client-type v='bigbeta'/> will get P8106, P8108 and when released P8107 but FWIW the bigbeta flag is only officially supported for PG approved testers. (;);))
I agre with cyclone3d with the lighting and hands. I would also avoid buying one with bent pins.
If you are going to try, a mechanical pencil with the lead removed is a good tool. I may have also been known to walk into a jeweler to have a 4P board fixed.
That said, I have an ASUS P6X58D...
I have no issue with that limit, but the project does not keep all available cores supplied with work regardless of settings. I have no desire for a large cache, it was just a final attempt to keep the cores supplied with tasks.
The wind chills expected here tonight are again -25 to -35...
Multiple mashing results in a max of 2*Core count, but I have only seen that when all current tasks were to complete withing the next 2 minutes. Left on its own, it struggles to keep 8 cores running and I have seen a max of 3 tasks ready to start even with large cache settings.
Your experience seems to be different than my own. Running only this project, settings set for 1 internet connection/day plus 1 additional day of cache I cannot keep 8 cores occupied without continually mashing the update button.
Right above the big download button it says:
Before proceeding with the download, make sure you have read all the instructions and disclaimers. Currently, Windows 8.1 is not supported.
While Pocatello is the clear choice, an uncontested victory may not be as sweet. Almost makes me want to nominate a mod or two from FF.
Nah... Pocatello FTW. :D
I just figured out what caused the DRM on about 100 hours of recorded TV and movies in WMC7 to kick in making it unwatchable... Turning off HT for primegrid performance. Different cores = different computer, lock 'em down boys. Damn DRM on legit media; it is easier to just download the DRM...
