I want this card because I have a family and a wife who got injured on the job and the company (an Indian casino) isn't taking care of her or our medical bills. So my computer has had the same hardware in it for the past 3 years without a single upgrade. Add to the fact that I have had to take a...
I need this because I have a nagging wife, a 2 year-old son who always wants attention, and a 15 year-old daughter who's an expert drama queen. I need to block out them so I can keep my sanity!
I upgraded from a 3500 to a opty 185 and loved the difference! My new 185 running 13x250 at default volts on air and just too busy to see how much further it can go. I know that thing could easily go a bit higher also.
I love my 185... So far I'm at 3250 (13x250) at default volts with a TT Typhoon VX (dual primes give me max 49c). So I must give my thumbs up for 185 even if it's at default speeds.
I am looking to upgrade my vid card and am curious if the 8600GTS will out preform my 7900GT CO Superclocked enough to justify spending the cash on it.
So my gaming system is aging now but I just wanted to breath just a little more life into it to last till tax return next year...
So I've got a 7900GT under the tree and am thinking of going to a FX55 from my 3500+. I use to be a hard core overclocker but have become pretty mellow lately and...
So I've been toying with the idea of dual booting a Linux system but I'm not sure which one. I am a complete Linux noob and have no experience ever with it. I have had many friends who think and tell me that I would absolutely love Linux. So now I'm ready to start out and am looking for the most...
So I have this great board, the BFG Tech NF4U, and in the bios it has the options to boot from RAID. In the NVidia RAID setup there's an option to setup to make the RAID array bootable. But the board does not come with a driver for the XP installation to make the RAID array bootable. I talked to...
Return it!! I honestly doubt you would have any regrets if you return it for a DFI. And if you are anything like most people I know, you will always have a little bit of doubt in your decision to stay with it.
What's the best NF2 board? "NF7-S".... lol
Check out the DFI NF2 boards and what people say who have owned them and who use to own a NF7. They learned the hard way. ;)
Just an update, I did use the Uber Bios (on the non-Delux Rev1.0x he only has it up to the 1004 bios, not the 1007) and was able to log into windows doing 11 @ 205 without any major tweaking. I tried to keep it stable though at 11 @ 200 without any luck. No amount of tweaking I did could keep...
I am planning on tossing this board. Just was thinken of waiting 10 monthes and just doing a full system upgrade with PCI-X and 64 bit. Oh well..
And I will never join the lemmings and buy a NF7-S. I'm sorry, I'm not one to follow the crowd, I'm actually looking at DFI Ultra Infity (just as...
After last nights tests running async I've found that I believe the problem to be in the NF2 (non-ultra) memory bus. My highest stable cpu oc was 11.5@210fsb. And that was after dropping it down to 10. 210fsb seems to be the limit on my mobo's cpu bus. After 210fsb, it won't even boot. But my...
I actually have done that with the memory just to make sure that the memory wasn't the problem. I have not tried running the CPU at 200 with memory at 83 though, I guess I'll try that next.
I have no done the thermal goop under the heatsink yet, I'll have to do that next.
And what uber bios...
I almost always pull of fan/heatsinks and do that, for some reason though I didn't on my northbridge. Thanks for reminding me. And what uber bios are you refering to?
Just an update:
I've now tried upping the volt to it's max, 1.85 and just get errors loading into windows.
Thinking the problem is with my mobo. Anyone agree/disagree?
No matter what settings I've used, I cannot break 182FSB on my A7N8X Rev 1.4. I am using the latest bios (forgot which number, maybe 1007?), have tried relaxed memory timmings as low as 8/4/4/3.0T, have changed the multiplier as low as 9.0, and have upped the voltage on the processor and ram. My...
