Maybe I missed it, but I have been unable to find if this unit has a humidity sensor and an ambient air temperature sensor. Without these key sensors, this product cannot make dew point calculations so as to safely control the temperature of the water block in high humidity regions.
In other...
I installed mine saturday to the underside of the passengers seat and I do have a bumpin' subwoofer. My car does at least 140db on the dashboard.... way more in the back. Like it says in the instructions, you need to mount it to something SOLID. That flimsy board is not what I would call...
One important factor, that may not be easy to find, is ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance). The lower the better.
Batteries are not ideal, they do have some internal resistance.
Incorrect. Go into any plant that populates PCBs and you will find small bottles of liquid flux and solder that does not have a flux core. For flux to do its job, you really need it on the part as you are heating it, and before the solder touches it.
Some electrical grade flux is "acid"...
Funny you mention that, I have two "deathstars" from that era an neither one has failed yet. My guess is the majority of those failures were either from improper handling during shipping (including insufficient packaging) or insufficient cooling once installed..... but thats just my theory
I nominate this for moronic quote of the week:
Do understand what probability is?
A RAID0 setup (with two disks) is TWICE as likely to suffer a drive failure.
Lets say the probability of one drive failing is 1 out of a 100, then the probability of a RAID0 failure (assuming a 2 disk...
1: Reading is fundaMENTAL:
2: You have a very poor understanding of scientific method. You can not change variables A AND B and conclude that variable A is the sole cause of the variance. Also, If you had any comprehension of scientific method, you would know that it is very difficult to...
This data still does not apply to our discussion.
That article is a review of controllers, not interfaces. You are trying to extrapolate data that isnt there. He compared a generic on-board IDE controller with a high performance add-on SATA controllers. If the reviewer was testing UATA...
No shit sherlock. Raptors are 10,000 rpm drives. IDE Caviars are 7200 rpm drives.
You are also using vastly different raid controllers. That alone makes your conclusion that "OMFG SATA IS TEH WINNAR!!!!" invalid.
The speed difference you see is because of the SATA drives...
It should have been pretty obvious from the description on their website that there was no way a 12mm drive would fit:
The external thickness of the thing is only 10mm.
^^ Thats why we have a dewalt circular saw. Dewalt had the electric brake (stops the blade quickly after you shut off the saw instead of letting it coast down), the Craftsman did not.
Look through these to find a 60mm duct: http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm?webpage_id=3&SO=2&&DID=7&CATID=48&ObjectGroup_ID=143
60 millimeters = 2.36220472 inch
You'll probably want to go a tad smaller than 60mm...

(newegg carried this case, then stopped, then carried it again, and seem to have stopped again. I bought mine from newegg over a year ago)
Facts of life in engineering:
1: The tools vendors provide suck
2: The documentation the vendors supply sucks
The people that make these tools aren't concerned with ease of use for the novice.
Back in my day (early in my undergrad days), we didn't have graphical circuit analysis...
You need to do some more googling.

Try searching for "remote reboot"

Does your school have unix servers with Max Plus installed? You might be able to ssh into the school server and run Max Plus through xterm.
There is a Unix version of Max Plus, but there is no free student-use version of it. (I believe Max Plus originated on Unix).
FlexSteel makes alot of those chairs that are found in RVs and conversion vans. http://www.flexsteel.com/vehicle/
If you get a FlexSteel chair, you will not be dissapointed.
I paid $50 for a complete (including tracks) fabric upholstered power seat when the rails and seat bottom broke in my car.
The dealership wanted $250 for the tracks and $250 for the seat bottom.
It all depends on the yard you go to. If they normally don't expect to sell soft...
To do what you suggest (keeping the PIC's clock synched), he needs a Phase Locked Loop (PLL).
In the end it will be cheaper (and easier) to just get the right chips.
Iron is part of it.
Its usally an alloy of somewhere around 80% nickel, 4% molybdenum, 16% iron alloy
Its usually refered to as Mu-metal (Mu being the measure of magnetic permeability).
But that is for magnetic shielding.
If he's sheilding a transformer, he probably wants both...
You might want to add a voltage regulator so that you can keep the LEDs at the same brightness for the entire life of the batteries.
A 1.2 volt battery is only 1.2 volts when its fully charged.
WRONG WRONG WRONG.
Low wattage irons make it much easier to kill sensitive parts than a high wattage iron.
With a low wattage iron, it can take far too long to heat the joint to the point you can solder.
You want to heat the joint quickly so that you can solder the joint without heat...
I got mine recently, was hot pink... gave it to a female friend of mine.... funny thing was it matched the shirt she was wearing when I gave it to her. :D
