Grats! I only lucked into a 3090 bundle that i thought I had unchecked cause I didnt want a $600 intel mobo. Hindsight I maybe should of just sucked it up and forked out the $2800
Hopefully in the next few months I can hit something for a 3080/3080TI/3090 and replace my 980ti thats dying
Yep, he's a white knight who is right.
This 3rd vid has some awesome way over-engineered additions to the "product". It's hilarious, especially on the pin that stops them from putting the cover box back on easily. Enjoy some skunk infused fart spray while you try to put the cover back on!
When clustering storage whether it be multiple linux hosts sharing a jbod or servers sharing a lun etc, its really best to look at the storage vendor and OS best practices and recommendations. Scsi3 has been in the t10 standards for a while with specific behavior mapped depending on the requests...
It would be funny if Nvidia jacked prices up another 15-25% to account for "Tariffs"
I'll go ahead and call it now they pull that greedy shit when they just jacked the price up once already
I hope we start to enter that world soon.
I just moved up in between 1080p and 4k after using the same Dell 24inch monitor since 2005. Night and day difference and MAN I love FPS gaming again.
Bring on cheaper gfx cards I can utilize 144hz properly with!
I'm just going to put this out there, this is AMD making software that enterprise storage arrays have used for a decade. Where you need it, this sort of thing can be great. From someone who works in the enterprise storage world, I have seen some catastrophic failures from multiple vendors.
If...
Really think of HCI as a vendor all-in-one-package deal with that single pane of glass for management. A lot of vendors are going the openstack and REST api route for interfacing with their gear nowadays.
HCI has a lot of options now with buzzword mania all over. Take your time to learn. If...
How much Gold Pressed Latinum can this machine make for me? Does it function correctly in the spice mines of Kessel? Or is this one of those trick devices to get me aboard a train bound for Poland?
Come on ping locks come into live game! I'm really getting sick of the bad net code and overseas players killing me when im 4+ steps around a corner. Thanks client side hit detection!
My buddy had the best cheater. On the old map, NE side of Island. Buddy was on the south side of the mountain there inside a building and got headshotted 3 times in succession. Death cam showed the cheater on the Northern shore on the other side of the mountain killing people through said...
Bought a Voodoo2 to augment my 4mb 2d card. Jump from software to actual 3d was amazing. Quake 1 and Quake 2 was just unbelievably different. Being able to move to 1024x768 was a huge leap forward.
Then my purchase of a Geforce1 with Quake3 was the next huge leap of WOW for me.
Make sure your MPIO is truely setup correctly. Make sure the NICs/CNAs also have correct recommended settings for whatever storage you are using. I can't count the number of times that people forget to do things like enable flow control on the network or think they have 9000 MTU setup correctly...
Ya as long as the Brocade switch does both FC and FCOE at the same time and let's those ports join the same fabric, you should be fine. In the Cisco world we can do this without a hitch. If you have any questions on the host/storage side to complete the SAN items feel free to ask away or ping me...
I'm loving my AC-Lite. Ubiquiti has had some minor issues over the years they fix in code but for my home their equipment is fantastic
I'm replacing my 3550-T 1gb switch and my 1841 router as well. I love doing my cisco CLI stuff, but I just don't need it anymore for things I do at home
VVOL is so fun to play with... but I'm still leary on the ESXI side for stability with it.
Vendors are dropping prices lately which is good for us the consumers. Instead of using the most expensive crazy Enterprise Flash drives the hardware vendors are allowing the middle of the pack drives to...
Gotta agree with this one here. I've never had anything like that happen to me *Knocks on wood.
Don't feel guilty shopping elsewhere after all of this stupid crap.
Where are you located Nizmoz? If you had to have an onsite guy get a hotel that says something. Unisys right? Hound him hard because those guys usually are dumb as bricks most of the time.
I was asking my Dell Emc partner about this same question today since I'm curious too. No"official" answer from him but the wink wink nudge nudge hinted at yes this is the case. Just have to wait for the patch and official details to confirm and get the details. I'm thinking the sales channel...
None given to me yet, but I'm expecting to see the patch drop end of November/Beginning of December knowing how things normally go with them. Then wait a few weeks to see if any big issues occur because I'm always leery of new patches from vendors dropping with big feature additions
The one...
Those Unity's are super easy to install. You can get 8tb drives for the flash... With 16tb coming down the pipe. Only major complaint was some migration features aren't there and ESRS is super broken to setup in secure data centers. My sales/partner guys say inline compression is coming with an...
Yeah, we have a few reps from other vendors in the forums too.
Probably not the best thread to go fishing mid discussion without anything of substance to contribute.
On a more related note, what's with some of the recent nimble rebadging/model name/number changes? I've seen a few people...
Goodness this thread is neat. Just saw this now and wanted to get 2 cents in for someone that the numbers+performance game
OP, there are a lot of great storage options out there. Definitely look at them all if you have time and find what looks best. Take your partnership with the sales/VAR...
I thought the 1080 was awesome and now the cheaper 1070 thats performing so well... I think I may be buying the 1070 instead down the road. I game at 1920x1200 with no plans to go to 4k anytime soon. 1070 should do all the newer games just fine. Once DX12 gets tuned more, I'll enable my intel...
Lacie externals have been the most unreliable I've ever dealt with. Seriously post it to their Twitter, blast it out. I've had to blacklist people buying them due to all the extra headaches they cause. Or in some cases... Lost work.
