You shouldn't blame EVGA. It's your own fault for buying from an "eBay reseller"... which is probably some guy in his garage that clearly isn't an authorized EVGA seller.
probably a dumb question, but i need to be 100% sure.
for cooling this 8800Ultra i need a GTX water block right? Petra just sold out of the EK block i wanted but i found it here:

oh, and...
My last box stayed on 24/7 for over 2 years, same water, same pump. Other than the tubing being slightly clouded from 2 years worth of residue, everything ran great.
This ipod is opened, but brand new and never used. The low quality cell phone pic below is the actual ipod.

no trades, sorry.
As others have said, don't reuse the liquid. Take it to your nearest auto parts store for proper disposal. There are chemicals that are harmful and should not be dumped into your drains.
have you considered 7/16" ID tubing on 1/2" fittings? this is what i will be using in the project i'm currently building.

Thanks so much for the link. As a frequent customer of performance-pcs, I am mad at myself for over-looking them in my time of desperation. I went ahead and ordered it along with a few other needed items. I cant wait any longer for the others to restock the res.
For the last several weeks I been checking the popular websites I trust for this reservoir. Out of stock for a while now everywhere I check.

Anyone know where I might be able to get one? Preferably clear, m-a-y-b-e blue...
yeah great info. the sanyo sounds like the way to go. i wish i had asked this question before i got this rad. oh well, it just means im going to have to work harder at sound proofing
thanks for clearing it up for me. since silence is my main goal and priority here, it seems that i made the wrong choice with the rad. however, i guess i will need to make due and deal with it.
malicious, thanks for the panaflo and delta suggestions. ill look into them and see what will work...
I was about to buy some near silent 120mm fans for my BIX2 when noticed some people saying that "certain fans are not good for a BIX"
did i misunderstand something or is this true? how can some fans not be the best choice for this rad?
i am looking for the most quiet fans possible.
ah ok. cool, this helps me a lot. im gonna avoid the black ice single pass rads then.
man, that PA120.2 is one bad ass rad. i would totally get it but i doubt the difference in cash is gonna be worthwhile for my current project.
thanks guys!
What are your opinions on the single pass x-flow rads? Specifically compared to the black ice double pass rads. Both are claiming low pressure drops. Both seem very good. I guess the biggest difference is whether I want my barbs on the same side or one on each end. The placement of the barbs...
Man, thanks for all the good info. This will get me on the right track for sure.
Hows the noise on the DDC+? I have an old DD pump that I bought 2 years ago, I cant remember the model though... but anyway, it ended up being louder than I liked. Im sure they have improved by now.
yeah I'm gonna have a cpu block too. I am running raptor drives. the main reason I wanna run water to them is because I wasn't planning on putting any fans in my case (other than the fan in the PSU). the pump, rad, and res are going to be in a seperate enclosure.
cool thanks guys.
do you think that using the 1/2 ID tubing will make a difference in my loop? I wanted to go with the 3/8 so I can manage it a little easier. my setup in my current comp is 1/2 and it's pretty bulky.
Im getting ready to build a new loop. My final goal is to have the most quiet system I can possibly build.
Would I be able to put all of the following in 1 loop w/ 1 pump?
NB block
Processor block
Video Card block
Dual HDD block
BIX III Radiator
Reservoir
All this will have 1/2 OD...
Same exact thing happened to me a couple days ago. I installed a copy of PowerDVD that I found in my collection, and it fixed my problems because it installed the codecs I needed. Then I uninstalled powerdvd and my DVDs are working great now.
Most cases will do ya fine especially the ones suggested above. A lot of the noise is due to fans, and fan placement. Get some high quality fans with low db ratings and lower the voltage on them.
another vote for bondo. i have used it several times to modify the bezel on several projects. best advice i can give ya is after you sand it down even, make sure you spray some primer before painting. maybe even two coats, if you dont, it might show through at some angles.
Im looking for your opinions on the best bang I can get for @ $200. I need a PCI Express card for sure.
This is what I am considering right now. Seems like the best choice but Im wondering if there is a card out there that I am over looking...
