the Rf receiver is around 3 feets away from the keyboard, not being blocked by any metal object or electronic devices. If interference was the problem, i would suffer lag in my desktop applications as well such as excel word etc, and im not, only 3d games are problematic.

this 6200 LE is not a ''huge step up''. It is actually a downgrade from your 5700 card. The higher number does not mean it is better. The rest is pretty much ok.

my board is a SOYO KT400 Dragon lite, with a via chipset. i updated the chipset drivers and video drivers to latest versions still same results. direct3d is disabled and it says that my agp read, write, and fastwrites are all off.

Thats weird, either they forgot to pierce the holes, or either they decided that the motherboard wasnt designed to support weight in that area. i would try to verify on another a8n board if its possible.

plz recommend a good, efficient firewall. It doesnt have to be a free version or brand. just something that will work good.

if you still get those artifacts with fresh drivers and/or a windows reinstall, you might consider thermal issues with your card, or worse, a ram chip on it may be busted. did you try to overclock? if so, you busted it.

ati rage 128 32mb. was playing at 1024x768. no af/aa (it didnt even exist at that time i believe). I had a geforce 256 shortly after, and it was total crap, with a lot of drivers issues.
