There is a push to add web content filtering at work and my boss has naturally pushed the task to evaluate a few choices downhill to me :(
To facilitate this request I need to find a way to verify a large list of url's are picked off by the filters as well as searching for keywords.
I...
I've got Untangle running on a D510 with 2 gigs of ram. :D Machine sits around .1 to .7 on the usage meter. It's supporting heavy downloading, my exchange server, 2 xbox's on live at the same time, vpn, etc. I've got a 16down 2up business line with 5 ips. I'm using an old intel compaq...
I use autounpack to do this. As well as autoextract my archives. Very handy tool if you download from usenet.

Add another MX record that points to your mail server with lowest priority. Highest and Lowest priority records pointing to your mail server should bypass this issue. :D
I'm using a 8/1 comcast business line in my home office and its been great. Currently running OWA, VPN, FTP, etc without any issues. Their SMC modem/router can be setup as a plain modem as well which is great if you have your own router.
I've got (2) 2220's in my server. The data on the RAID card will remain intact when you reinstall windows on a seperate drive. Once you have Server2k3 installed download the highpoint driver and install. You'll then have to go into disk management and assign a drive letter to your array...
My system recently stopped working. I was running an e6600 2.4 @ 2.8 on an ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium. I turned on my monitor the other day and there wasn't any picture. The system appeared to be locked up so I reset it. No matter what I do I am not getting any display.
I have stripped the...
If its just the mouse moving on the screen is your friend using a wireless mouse? Perhaps she has a neighbor with a similar mouse thats on the same channel. Try swapping in a wired mouse.
You can use a drive emulation program like alcohol to mount the iso. Then any dvd playback software you have will be able to read it. Works well for me :D
I'm using a BUFFALO WLI-TX4-G54HP to do this for my consoles and media box in my livingroom. I'm using WPA PSK. Not sure if the device supports WPA2 but its got amazing range.

I'm pretty sure there are a few companies that make wireless networking equipment that operate on a lower frequency with longer range. And they get past the line of site issue but the speed is much slower.
It sounds like they do cap your rates. I've used newshosting in the past and am currently using usenetserver for my newsgroup needs. Paying 15 bucks a month for unlimited uncapped downloads is worth it to me.
Or you can use the poor mans method and just use tacks along the bottom of the wall. I used a hammer to gently tap them in at my last apartment. No one notices the tiny holes when you take them back out. As far as gaming wirelessly it all depends on the your surroundings and equipment. I've...
Ok based on your responses I think I know what you are doing wrong. If your ftp server is setup to use port 21 and the range 50000-50100 for passive then the router settings picture you included is wrong.
You need to edit 2 rules.
Rule 1 is already in there. Its titled Virtual Server...
So you setup bulletproof to use port 21 for your ftp and a range after that for passive mode?
On your router do you have the port forwarding setup to forward 21 and your passive range?
Also its hard to tell from your description but are you able to connect to your ftp server on the LAN...
One way to help speed up RDP is to make sure you set it to use less features under the experiance tab. Set it for 56k and it should be pretty quick over your 1 megabit connection.
Looking at your pictures you have a NintendoDS listed there. I believe it only works wirelessly over WEP. WEP should not be counted on to protect your network.
I've got 3 monitors and using RDP to 3 of my virtual machines, I can display each system on its own monitor. Using 2 dual head cards I could certainly have 4 monitors showing 4 virtual machines.
A 5 port switch is cheap. Like 20 dollars cheap. Connect your existing switches to the 5 port switch and connect the IPCOP computer to the 5 port switch. Problem solved. :p
There is always the IPCOP/Smoothwall/etc solution. You can take an old computer and turn it into a router. That will certainly handle the 45 computer load you have and give you the features of an expensive router.
Since you have an extra computer you might want to give one of the linux router options a try. IPCop takes about 20 minutes to setup and is practically idiot proof. Clarkconnect is even easier. Both use webbased configuration pages. If it works for you then you can save some money and just...
CAT5 is easier to deal with then COAX. Running an extra 50 feet of COAX might slow down your internet speed if you are at the signal strength threshold on your cable line. If not then either one will work fine.
I used a belkin bluetooth usb adaptor model F8T003 v2 as well as a MS bluetooth adaptor extensively during Vista testing. They both have inbox driver support.
P.S. I work on one of the printer communication test teams at Microsoft. :)
Home Server 1:
p4 3gig with 3 gigs of ram. 3.4TB after format space.
Running: 2k3 Server, VMWARE, Domain Controller, FTP Server, and a few others I'm forgetting.
Home Server 2:
celeron D 3.33ghz with 1 gig of ram. 2.85TB after format space.

I've been using my 52inch sharp aquos lcd for a couple weeks now for gaming. 8800gtx connected with a dvi to hdmi cable :) Gaming at 1920x1080 with 1080p is amazing :)
my supermicro motherboard hasn't had any problems with multiple raid cards. I've got a 3ware, a highpoint, and the motherboards onboard adapatec card working together without complaint.
Why not just call Netgear and ask them for help forwarding whatever port your client wants forwarded to it. Pretty sure their tech support could walk you through it quickly
I run into this on systems here at work from time to time. If reassociating doesn't work I usually have to go into the registry and change the associations there.
