Here are the idle system temp reading using Everest Ultimate Edition.
E6750 @ 3.6Ghz at default voltage
XFX Geforce 8800 GT XXX edition (default clocks of 670mhz core and 975mhz mem)

No. It is pretty big. Just put it over the rams it will cool the chipset cooler.
It is a tight fit. It is nearly impossible to get it to fit. Let me see if I can take some pictures to show you.
I think it was 40 to 50 degrees C. Let me go home and check it for you.
I normally don't bother about GPU temp because mine is a XFX GEforce 8800 GT XXX edition and it is covered with 2 years warranty. If anything goes wrong I can get a new one from them. The main office for XFX is in...
I think the temps are pretty good for the case. Just remember to reverse the fans for the CPU heatsink (intake and outake).
My Geforce 8800GT usually stays around 40 degrees C to 50 degrees C.
Last test before I leave for my vacation in 6 hours.

Shuttle rocks man!
Here is my latest result.

Super PI passed as well.

Yesterday I got a chance to test the overlcock potential of my newly built SP35P2 system.
Conroe E6750 @ 3.8Ghz (voltage set to auto in the bios)
OCZ Platnium DDRII 800 @ 950 CL4 (voltage set to 2.275 in the bios)

Do any of you guys are using the eSATA port? I can't seem to get it detected in Windows Vista. I know it is enabled by default because at system boot, it shows that it is enabled. However, I can't get it to be detected in Vista.
I got the SP35P2 Pro last week and it is excellent. I wanted to get the SX38P2 Pro but it was not out yet. I am told it should be availble early next year. I am in Hong Kong.
However, seeing that the SX38P2 Pro will provide me with no real benefit over the SP35P2 Pro, I decided not to...
I don't want to add too much mem voltage. I prefer 1:1 memory ratio. It seems to perform pretty good already. I will run more tests in a couple of days. :D
That is to say that max CPU temp for conroes is 85 degrees c.
Is set by the program and it can't be changed. As long as the CPu temp doesn't get higher than 55 to 60 degrees C at full load, you should be fine. I
Here is the max the CPU can run stable air cooled inside a tower case.

2 weeks ago I built the following system:
Conroe E6700 (ES)
Asus P5W DH Deluxe (Quality Stuff)
2GB Corsair PC6400C3
XFX Geforce 7950GX2 XXX Edtion
Creative SB X-FI Fatality Edition
Dell 24" Wide Screen LCD
The tests results that I am going to post are from early testing only...
I don't know what to say.
I have been informed what whenever the Conroe is launched, the shipping date or the release date for stores to start selling them will be a couple of days after the launch.
So if the launch date of 14th July is true thent he shops will have them or will start...
I think all the stock (worldwide) ships with 0401 bios. It is an old one.
0502 and above supports Conroe.
There are newer ones for Conroe Stepping 5 support.
Damn I don't have another CPU to flash the bios.
I will have to go back to the shop tomorrow and ask them to use their testing CPU on this motherboard and flash the bios for me.
I just setup my Asus P5W DH Deluxe and Conroe E6700 (ES) B1 Stepping.
The system won't boot up.
I am wondering if it is my XFX Geforce 7950GX2 XXX Edition causing the problem or does the motherboard bios not detect an ES E6700?
Any thoughts or suggestions that can help me boot up the...
I have noticed that the higher I overclock the CPU with Quad SLI the better the system performance. So it is better to have a CPU clocked at 2.8ghz or higher to make good use of Quad SLI.
I am not sure how quad SLi will work with hacked drivers. Seeing the big issue it has been for offical Nforce boards already.
Even if someon hacks the driver one will be running SLi at x8 and x8 compared to the full speed of x16 and x16 with the Nforce 590 SLI (Link Boost Technology enabled).
I was planning on buying the ASus Physx card but dicided not to because I don't like Ghost recon and the other games in the list are not exciting. Only Unreal Tournament 2007. By then Nvidia will release their drivers and all will be good for free. I don't have much space for PCI slots. I...
Why did you get a Physx Card? You will get it for from Nvidia with future drivers with SLI or Quad SLI.
I will get Conroe XE with Quad SLI. It will good for 6 months when I will upgrade again.
I am sure they will. Running Quad SLI you at least need a CPU running at 2.8Ghz and higher.
What I have in mind is to buy the Conroe XE and Nforce 590 SLI (Intel Edition). However,I am hearing that the Nforce 590 SLI (Intel Edition) is not a good overclocker. That is why Conroe XE is...
3DMark 2006 gives only 10% to 15% gain with Quad SLI compared to just using one card. It is sad but true. 3Dmark 2005 has no gain but 3DMark 2003 has a good gain.
DO you know that with a cheap AM2 X2 3800+ @ 2.97Ghz and XFX Geforce 7950GX2 XXX Edition I get 9239 3DMarks in 3DMark 2006...
Yesterday I tested the AM2 X2 4800+(ES) @ 2.81Ghz and Geforce 7950GX2 Quad SLI.
The AM2 x2 4800+ is a very early engineering sample. It is not a good overclocker. My AM2 3800+ @ 2.97Ghz (Stable) is a better one but I lent it to a local hardware reviewer who lent me a Geforce 7950GX2 and...
