Ends in like an hour, figured I'd throw it up.
Used to use the rig for hardcore D3 botting but it's been sitting unused for several months now.
Any questions feel free to ask.
technically, no. Really, yes.
You need an invite to be able to play, there are basically unlimited invites.
Here is a bot that will give invites to anyone that needs them http://steamcommunity.com/id/dota2bot
interesting point of view, I tend to prefer to try to carry new people kicking and screaming to a victory instead of trying to push them to one. I suppose both could be effective enough though.
Ah I went up and re-read. Whoever typed the initial post said Troll CHIEFTAIN. Which I read as Tauren Chieftain. Which is why I was saying utility mid/side lane solo (magnus style).
Troll warlord is a shit carry hero.
In your opinion I guess not. But in the professional scene's opinion he is. He's almost always played in the trilane (aggressive or defensive). Sometimes he's run as part of a roaming gank duo. and least of all he's played solo mid. (That isn't to say he doesn't do well mid).
I'm not sure...
I would definitely recommend readings guides and practicing vs bots before jumping in to matchmaking if you want a fighting chance at winning and learning.
I guess since I played dota 1 I'm used it. But I always have my hero in a control group 1. So I just hit 1 twice and it goes to my hero. Always have courier in control group 2 and hit 2 twice to center on it (unless I'm playing something like chen or the sort).
in addition to that, the devs said that the first part is basically a tutorial. At blizzcon they had interviews of people who were allowed to play nightmare/hell/inferno difficulties and all they talked about was how ridiculously hard it was.
matchmaking server is down right now, but there were definitely a lot more people online the last time I checked today. (like 2900), the most I had seen before that was like 1800 I think.
I'm 25-24 right now, looking forward to getting some people together to play as a team.
edit: looks like...
My friend and I are finally starting to hit our stride I think. With me as AA and him as Tidehunter we can make a big enough difference for our teamates to succeed even if they aren't all that great.
It would be fun to play some in houses though.
I think people greatly underestimate just how many people still play(ed) dota 1 over HoN and LoL.
Take all those people, combined with all the people that will leave HoN and LoL, and it's no contest.
Activision made me remove my video of the foo fighters playing from youtube >_<
Blizzard DOTA was terrible.
Can't wait for Diablo 3 and Heart of the Storm. One of my friends won an SC2 poster in a 2's tourny while there. Another friend and I won an SC2 poster signed by the entire dev team...
having played blizzard dota at blizzcon this weekend, it's fucking terrible so far. (granted it's in early stages), BUT STILL. It was so bad I couldn't believe they even showcased it. There were like 10 items, 12 heroes, not balanced. No unit selection (heroes that have a summon are SoL...
I'll get the hard copy for the simple fact that I get to play it 3 hours earlier than the digital copy. (I'm east coast).
After that I'll register it with my b.net account and it will be a digital copy from then on :v
are you kidding me? It will absolutely have an effect on the blatant dupes and hacks. Obviously there will still be bots eventually, but that's something that really can't be helped.
the thing is having a single player will always effect multiplayer, unless they make a completely different way of doing everything (generating items etc). Having a single player makes it that much easier for hackers to reverse engineer everything, and figure out how item generation works, or...
I've always been lucky on the xbox front (though I'm lucky in general). My day one 360 Pro is still functioning just fine, I chose to buy a new black elite, because I wanted to. I would use my ps3 as a bluray player (and might still someday), but as it stands, I have an HTPC for all of my hd...
Yeah I played it for an hour or so, and then realized how boring it is playing by yourself.
Obviously I'm in the crowd of being fine with the always on DRM. Think about how often battle.net has been down for SC2. Not often (and by not often I mean I've never tried to log in and had it be...
I have no illusions that it won't stop hacking. But it will severely nerf it. Compare Hacks in Diablo 1 to Diablo 2 to WoW. The best people have in wow are bots (though very elaborate). I'll take that over duping items and/or creating items any day.
incorrect in Diablo 1 and 2 YOU had Singe Player, LAN play, B.net access, stat customization.
I had b.net access filled with dupes and hacks, And stat customization. I'll miss that stat customization, but I will not miss the other stuff. The auction house will be cool too, although I...
after playing this game on the 360, I really don't see how it could be fun for anything more than one play through. Granted this is an early impression (maybe an hour or 2 in?)
Myself and my friends that play Dota also had this issue with HoN and it's the only reason why we never switched over to hon. When dota 2 is available for play (beta or otherwise), we'll finally switch from dota to that.
agreed b14z3. HoN looks terrible to me, especially in team fights. Dota 2 looks clean and crisp and I find it relatively easy to see what's happening in the team fights.
to each his own I guess.
I can vouch for all of those bots in WoW. My roommate actively uses them. The only account of his that's been banned so far (of 6months or so running bots) was the account he used to sell gold to someone. If you want to do it in wow, there's a bot for it. Minus raiding.
on topic, I can't...
