ah, but sometimes new products are cheaper and better. even if theres not much of a price difference between january 5th and 11th, you will have more options. And if you're like me and are somewhat disappointed with current products, don't comprimise and wait a week and see.
Thats like, CES week, it would be best to wait until CES is over if you're gonna wait that long. New products usually means the older products are sold at a discount. :D
I have one, suprizingly good card, it's been reliable and the signal strength is much better then the wireless G i've tried.
I bought one to try to modify with an external antenna, but it's good enough where i didn't need to.
picked mine up at the BB in Folsom. They had 4 boards left at lunch. and 4 consoles. I talked to the guy at Target, i guess they got a pallet or two of them.
Can't wait to get off work and try it out.

I just might bite: http://www.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/paypal_offer?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&dgc=IR&cid=11973&lid=597758
thanks for the link. thats a pretty interesting project but much bigger then what I'd like to haul around.
I decided to purchase some higher speed atmega parts so I can try the AVR-USB protocol instead of serial. This way I can have a very small board thats self powered.
And since the Ponyprog...
Jtag programmers, well I havn't found any good ones on the cheap yet. And the ponyprog programmer has a HUGE devicelist.
I also updated the pics with the final version. all the pins have been soldered. :)
I get bored at work sometimes So I decided to build my own Semi-universal programmer.
For the original schematics I choose Pony-prog ( link ). Well as it turns out there are a couple of problems with their design. For one, the Parallel port design is olmost unsusable on windows XP! Windows XP...
I shipped something to a member here in a trade and I shipped with Priority with delivery confirmation. Well lovely USPS says that the package was delivered on monday, but the other guy says he never got it. He lives in an apartment and I think either USPS stupidly left the package on the front...
sorry, i mistyped my ebay id, its actually qwertys072p
I have heatware but i never use it so it's useless. i dont even remember my heatware ID.
And yes, I am willing to trade if its an item I need/want.
I won this in a charity raffle. I don't need it. It is a brand new unopened 1gb Ipod Nano for 110$ shipped.
Email me at qwertys (at) hotmail.com
Will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
for reference my ebay is qwerty072p
Ahhh, poncho, what has Hoss turned you into?
HA! meh, CWM is impressive. i think it'll be the next big upgrade when i get my new contract with Intel (they actually called me today and wanted to sign but i'm in the middle of the semester).
Perhaps the Hoodsport board you're so proud of. i...
HT is not feasable in the P6 Architecture. it was in P4 because of the extremely long pipelines. since CWM is based off of a mobile architecture there is no need for HT and it would likely hinder performance with the shorter pipeline.
soo, Poncho, have you seen a successor to the beasts for...
I used to have the exact same LCD.
look around on noritake's website or send their support an email. they have real data sheets but they are really hard to find (i spent about 2 weeks to find them) unfortunatly i dont have the datasheets anymore.
from what i recall you may need a -24v supply...
you wouldn't carry the current through the liquid anyways, it would be better to use an amplifier like a couple mosfets or an op-amp.
most liquids that would carry current would be corrosive. mercury is the only solution i can think of that would last.
i would enjoy a rating of most the sites. there are a lot with annoying popups, "opt-in" requirements, memberships, or just bad layout/interfaces or bad search function.
YMMV it might be my local store only but i was in the electronics section and noticed a BUNCH (had over 100 or so on a pallet) of 256mb SD cards for 14$ each.
Brand is "Impact".
This is in Sacramento county but check your walmart to see if they have them on sale.
Just curious about what other people have planned:
Best Buy: sandisk mem stick 40$, SOD:Hypnotize 10$
Office Depot: keypad 13$, 60$ sandisk mp3 player
Sears: 10$ 11pc socket set.
its a weak list but really i didnt see anything i was interested in.
Sossaman is a beautiful CPU. its Yonah with some server side enhancements.
Its a completely different socket then yonah. aside from being PGA and 478 or 479 (if i remember, it was called socket-N)
The beauty of it besides taking aroung 45-60 watts per cpu, was that the heat disipation was so...
well the pin 1 of the 40 pin should like up with the 44 pin, olmost always does.
also note the difference between a 40 and 44 pin is really just the 44 pin has power included.
so, get an ohmmeter out, test a few points, and find the pinout for a 44 pin IDE.
circuitmaker is one of the best i've used.
it has 2 versions, a trial version and the student version. the student version is unlimited use but is limited to using 50 parts in a circuit.
the trial version is unlimited parts and functionality but is limited to 15 or 30 day use. actual software...
a little tip with the bondo, it looks like you used a little too much hardener. from the looks of it it seems it hardened before you were finished shaping it.
use less hardener (a really small amount is all thats needed if you mix it well) and keep it out of the sun and heat when applying it to...
I disagree. a properly designed laptop will last years without any problem.
its not because of bad compenent design or bat "motors"
more then likely your hard drive failed because of improper airflow around the laptop and poor handling. laptops are not made to handle a lot of shock (unless you...
use flux. it will allow it to flow through a lot better. you'd be suprized, i've had perfect soldering jobs done by flowing through from the top. it takes some practive to know when to stop though.
the diode used might be a zener diode. a zener diode in reverse bias will bring the voltage down.
however even in that case it would be unnecessary if you use the correct resistor.
I dont see much of a reason to use one.
Ground is there for safety and EMI reasons. if something shorts to ground, it is supposed to trigger the breaker or blow a fuse. this is to keep an object from being "Hot" and being a very big hazard (starting fires, killing small children, etc.)
do yourself a favor. go to a hardware store and buy a AC plug tester. they're like 13$ or so.
plug it in and read the diagram. it will tell you if its wired correctly.
it actually sounds like your computer case is HOT.
meaning, that its not only NOT grounded, but that an AC line may be...
normally you would decouple where where the power enters the PCB.
then i would suggest decoupling each chip.
a fun way to do it is if there is enough room, put the cap underneath the chip. or buy a socket for it and put it in the empty space in the socket.
you were trying to measure amps on an unloaded circuit? not a good idea. at that point, its whatever gives out first, your fuse on the MM or the parts on what you're measuring.
actually, i cant think of any lab that is still using prescott for validation.
Mod Edit - To be clear - EE's can't spell (I be one so I know), and this thread is off topic.
