Right now I use the headphone jack on my Note 8 because I am a spin instructor and that is the only way I can connect to the amp our gym uses. My phone has all my music on it. Other then that I use Bluetooth.
I remember building a Heath Kit receiver as a kid with my Dad and amazed at all the transistors we to soldier. So this video just blows my mind! Amazing what we can do now!
Great review as usual. Well I was set on the Asus Z170 Deluxe for my upgrade but now Im rethinking.I am going to buy the Samsung 950 Pro M2 so I am going to sleep on this MSI board. I'll reread the review again also. Thanks Dan and Kyle
Wanting to buy Asus Z170 Deluxe motherboard but Performance PCs tech help said no one makes a CPU water for this board. Does anyone know of any water block? I have custom water build for Gigabye G1 Sniper now so just want water block. Thanks
Thanks Dan. That really helps. Hope to get a good overclock. I have a good Danger Den water cooling set up. Probably need new water block to fit 6700. Happy New Year!
I am also thinking of upgrading my X58 6 core setup with Asus Z170 Deluxe,Intel i7 6700K. Just trying to figure out memory and hard drive. Thinking Samsung 950 Pro 512 GB or Intel 750 series. Memory not sure which speed. Gskill or Corsair. Thanks Dan for your input on this thread. I always love...
I looked at that post and will be gaming and photoshop. I overclock and use 2560x1600 resolution. Not going to upgrade video cards yet. Budget is not major concern. Have been building computers since 1997 and have not done much in last 3yrs. so I'm just interested in upgrading my system to the...
Well my 980X has served me well but I think it is time to upgrade. Thinking of the following upgrade.
Asus Z170 Deluxe
Intel I7-6700 K
Hyper X Predator M.2 480 gig.
G.Skill Ripjaws 32 gig ddr4 3000
Will wait on video card.
Any comments welcomed.
Been looking at some mid range gaming laptops around $1500.00 and most have Windows 8 installed with 8 or 12 gigs of ram. I thought you needed Windows 8 64 bit OS to use more than 4 gigs of ram. Not many laptops are showing the 64 bit OS. What am I missing?
I really enjoyed the subjective and non-technical article! Hope you can do more of these types of articles. Maybe you could do an update in another 4 weeks after newer drivers come out. Wish I could have a beer with you but I'm under 4 feet(actually 52 inches and more coming) of snow in...
Great video. Use to run an astronomy club when I taught 6 grade in the 70's. PTA purchased a 6 inch reflector telescope for the school and I would show the kids Saturn. Didn't look like that!! Also school bought a TRS 80 (Radio Shack) computer I would use with the kids. I am sometimes amazed...
Thanks for great review Brent! Explanation of base clock speeds really helps to understand what is going on with these new cards. Guess I'll stick with my two 7970's till I see what aftermarket cards look like.
Boy would this board make me nervous installing a heavy air cooler, not too mention pushing down while putting ram and video card in. Not that I ever buy budget motherboards for myself but someone who doesn't have a lot of experience might run into trouble with this board. Great review as usual.
Hooked up Vector and installed Win 8. Avast Security and Bigfoot Killer nic did not work well together. Bought Bitdefender but Bigfoot still kicks out when I turn off computer. Bigfoot said they are aware of this problem and are working on solution. The other problem is Win 8 does not support...
I decided to give OCZ Vector 256mb a try. Liked my Corsair GT but I also decided to give Windows 8 a try. So I will try Vector with Windows 8. Some of my friends are getting Window 8 and I better be ready to answer their questions about Win 8. Hope the OCZ comes through. Almost hit the...
Wow I didn't see that coming! It appears EVGA should only stick to video cards. There motherboards suffer from poor quality lately also. Had there first Classified motherboard which worked well but since then they have gone downhill. Great review as always,
