I've just recently RMA'd a Titan RTX myself and the service was very good. It took less than a week from the time I shipped the card out to the time I had a brand new one back with me, and I'm in Canada and had to ship to San Jose. I got an overnight label from them right away and they shipped...
I agree, it's a fun card to play with! I've been messing around with mine and without even trying placed in the top 20 of Superposition 8k Optimized with just the auto-overclock and no memory overclock whatsoever. No shunt mods either.
In terms of the shunt mod, does that reduce the life of the...
This is not quite true. The Quadro RTX 6000 PCB is different from the 2080 Ti or the Titan RTX. For one it has an 8-pin and a 6-pin connectors, the TU102 is also binned differently with the Quadro line having different designations on the chip (probably higher quality chips), there are other...
Although it is true that the gaming cards are overpriced, I do not think you would see much movement with cards like the Titan series unless AMD has serious competition on that front that is also cheaper. Considering the Titan cards are now considered more for professional applications I would...
You're missing the point, it's not a gaming card and the price is fair compared to the equivalent Quadro (which I have in my lab), the only thing Quadro does is offer a blower-style cooler (which is good for racks and systems with multiple GPUs) and ECC support. The extra RAM is necessary for...
Because this is not for strictly gaming, some scenes and many datasets for professional applications need more than 11 or 12GB. The price also suggests it's not fo for gaming. Of course you can game on it and it'll be a bit faster than the 2080 Ti, but not worth more than double the price for...
I don't understand this reasoning. You still got the best for the given price segment, the Titan RTX will be considerably more than 2080 Ti, might even be in the Titan V range.
I expected this from day 1 of the RTX announcement and based on the "teases" it'll likely come out soon, maybe next week. It'll likely have the same specs as RTX 6000 (full TU102) with half the RAM, i.e. 12GB as other recent Titan cards. But who knows, maybe they'll go all out and have a 24GB...
5960X @ 4.5GHz versus a 9900K @ 5GHz, would that be a sidegrade or an upgrade in terms of overall performance? Yes, there is the clock deficit on the 5960X, but it does have quad-channel memory.
So Nvidia posted more details on the Quadro RTX 6000. I was thinking of getting one of these for work for research and rapid image analysis for my high content imager. Although much of the info is known in terms of the specs, the TDP is 295W and I'm not sure that the workstation running the...
The performance of the 2080 Ti is what I expected but given the price I'm not sure it is worth it, I also don't like the idea of buying such an expensive card that is cut-down. Anyone else thinking of waiting to see if there will be an RTX Titan? I'm almost certain that we will see a 12GB card...
I only have the Witcher 3, but I get ~60FPS with those settings and similar config, but they get 44? Also, doesn't match some other results we've seen for the 1080 Ti...
Don't forget the Titan V CEO edition. This might show up as a refreshed Titan V in the next few weeks/months. Why, otherwise, make a new card and only make 20 of them while maintaining driver support? Titan Turing or Titan RTX might show up and replace Titan Xp, which at this point is completely...
It's the same as SM3 support in 6800-series in 2004. It was a marketing gimmick since when used it tanked performance, but it gave something to nVidia that ATI did not have at the time. Anyway, time will tell how these cards perform. We'll know in a month or sooner.
Judging by the fact that their store now lists a ship date of October 22nd, they're selling quite well. I'm waiting to see what the performance is like before I spend my money. I also want to see if they release a Titan version in a month or two and what's that going to look like.
Your table is incorrect re. mem bandwidth, the 2080Ti has a bandwidth of 616GB/s, so relatively close to the Titan V. I would expect that in current games (no ray tracing), the Titan V might be a bit faster. But that'll all depend on how these cards boost and whether they're watercooled.
No reasoning, just guessing really based on the performance numbers from last week's "leak". Although maybe RTX Titan performance prediction was a bit higher than the "full" GV100 with all ROPs, but what do I know?
That's what I'm thinking of doing, ditching my dual 1080Ti's for 1 Titan V. But I think I may want to wait to see what's next from Nvidia for their gaming hardware, but then the 1080Tis will probably drop in value...
Currently I have 2 EVGA 1080Ti SC2s in SLI. Thing is, SLI is a dinosaur that is dying a slow death and many games don't support it or have issues. So for my next card I want a single card solution that would give me a good enough performance in games at 4096x2160 resolution that I play at. I...
Titan GOLD!?! Likely uses GP100 if its genuine, like the Quadro GP100. Doesn't seem shorter to me though, and the Quadro card is not shorter even with HBM.
Perhaps your noise tolerance is different than mine, mind you, the fans never go above 55% but coming from water this was loud to me. The cooling is fine and the noise was there even with a fully open system after a while.
The riser came with the case (Phanteks), they were separated by 4 slots but because the top card is sucking hot air straight up it gets hot and loud fast, the bottom card is always nice and cool. I don't know if you can buy a better case, maybe, but this is Enthoo Elite.
Have two 1080 Ti's. They were too loud in SLI so I decided to mount one vertically as per the picture, using soft SLI bridges instead of the HB one (see no difference in performance). The noise is way down, temps are lower (especially on the primary card). But I wonder if there is a downside to...
For what's it worth, on my original Titan X (Maxwell) 4-way SLI setup this driver disabled 2 cards in The Witcher 3, so in SLI only 2 cards were being used, all 4 cards worked with prior drivers. Huge performance hit at 4K so went back to the old drivers. I wonder if Nvidia is silently killing...
I got my replacement Mamba Chroma and it still makes a buzzing sound while charging, less so than the previous one but it's still quite annoying while in a quiet room. Not sure whether its coil whine or ceramic capacitor noise (I suspect the latter since the current and voltage involved are...
I've recently purchased the Mamba Chroma when they had their 50% off sale. The mouse is very nice in terms of comfort and design, but there were a few issues. The texture on the mouse felt very rough, this may be a design choice but felt weird at first. The mouse would sometimes jerk around...
