I think we are approaching the last removable media. The Broadband isn't quite there yet and internet companies have 100 years of telco thinking they need to shed... But I think we are close to ditching removable media. Probably not the next generation, but the one after that.
I don't want...
The nice thing about a console is you just plug a game in and play.
I tried to install a game to my computer just yesterday. I put the CD in and I had to patch the installer, got it to install the game, I had to download and install patches*, dicked around with drivers for a few hours, and...
Why would you want that? They are purpose built devices. I don't want the OS of my TV to be anything but what it needs to be a TV. I don't want my DVD player to run Windows 7, I want it to run whatever OS it needs to play movies.
What about running Windows 98 on Linux on the X-Box?
I feel I have a completely different X-box 360 from the one I purchased a few years ago.
OK, I actually do have a completely different X-Box 360, but it feels like with NXE and the features they keep adding, it has progressed beyond what I originally purchased.
I like my Captivate and it does a few things way better than the iPhone 4. The most important of those is it makes phone calls.
But when I bought it, AT&T showed me exactly why I hate going to the AT&T store. I walked around an iPhone 4 sign, tripped over an iPhone 4 display, ducked under an...
I know an n=1 is useless, but after getting rid of Advanced Task Killer, my Captivate crashes a lot less. It went from every few hours to almost never. I even spent time uninstalling apps one by one.
It may have been a combination, and I'm sure there are people with the opposite experience...
Depends on where I'm at, what I'm doing and which one has pissed me the least. ATT, Tracphone, Net10 or T-Mobile.
Tracphone does this lame shit where they lock the SIM card to the phone, so you can't put the SIM into another device.
I hear Boostmobile is OK, but I'm old and white. I don't...
I've never seen an unlimited pay as you go. Normally, you buy minutes.
Pick whatever is the best carrier in your area, and get their card. Unless your phone is unlocked or on the same carrier, you are going to need a new phone also.
I get mine from Target. Of course, being from a US carrier...
A winner is me!
Really? Is Mario Kart helped by holding the controller out? Is there any Wii game that really offer something for the motion controls that isn't stupid? Most just use it as a mouse, the rest just use it as a way to make me yearn for the Gamecube controller.
Ok, I'll grant...
Have you ever played a Kirby game? You know, the little cute pink squishy guy that had a game that involved drawing rainbows? How butch do you expect it to be?
The problem is that with out any sort of feedback, it won't work. There isn't any sort of sense you doing anything other than flail around.
The Star Wars game made it look like the guy on screen was doing exactly what the operator was doing, but I don't think it would be any more immersive...
Totally not related, but my launch unit died and I replaced it with what I am assuming is the latest chipset. Holy crap. The power supply is half the size and I swear it runs quieter.
Is that the song the Tri Lambs play in Revenge of the Nerds?
I love the Kevin Butler ads. Way better than whatever the fuck meth inspired ads they had before.
Remember all the people weren't going to buy MW2 at all but ended up buying it anyway? Good job sticking to your principles.
This is turning into the largest reason I'm buying more console games.
The other way around. The games that are just combat are a turn off.
Although, I've been seriously looking at getting some American Civil War miniatures and rules for that. I'm not dead set against it and I liked something war game.
Not that I am aware of. You could try Meetup. Or going to a local game and comic store... A wretched hive of geeks and nerdery.
I love Both of those. The problem with BSG is people assume you need to watch the show to be able to play. I'd personally like to see some of the mechanics adapted...
Tell me about it. I mention I play boardgames and people seem to automatically assume I mean one of the almost 1800 version of Monopoly which seems high because Monopoly is complete shit.
The graphics are a little simplistic but here is a good description of a Game session
It wasn't my game, but I think it came from FRP(which seems to be busted) or Funagain
We played it with 3 people and it flowed fairly nicely. I was thinking as we played, it would be better with more...
This is from that other type of game, a board game.
The way the game works is you have three eras of the Roman Republic. Either the early part, middle part or later part. Or you can pick the early or middle and play through. The style of game changes with the era. The early part, you are...
I've been playing Warhammer Historical: Legends of the Old Westwith a friend recently. Partially because they use any Cowboy figures, so it limits the fuckery that Games Workshop can get up to.
We've discussed Warmachine, Supersystem and a few others. But we have a hard enough time getting...
Hey Sunsoft, good job promoting the only fucking game you have coming out.
This game looks real pretty and they kept the crab boss! I hope it is good. I was disappointed with the Bionic Commando remake.
