The story so far: Just ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool, afaik it hasn't reported a problem. Just did chkdsk, it came back mostly clear except for two bad clusters, both within the Windows directory tree, both not seemingly part of the OS. I'm uploading the iScreencap as we speak...

Why not consider a duct, similar to what I drew up? That way NO HSF hot exhaust air gets into the case at all; nor will the mobo/vidcard heat affect the CPU cooling.

So far, what I've observed is that the air is pretty much going around the duct, and still being pulled out the top. If anything, the area directly below the CPU might be seeig some flow stalling there, but I doubt it. I thought about putting a shield beteen the duct and the top corner, spaced...

I had someone on Genmay, as well as in different forums found via Google, mention that 4gb could be installed and run fine, but I chickened out and pulled the trigger on a couple sticks of 1GB for a total of two. :-\ At least it'll run better.
