most memorable single player experiences were playing half-life for the first time, then deus ex.
Multiplayer...RTCW and then Wolf: ET when it came out.
i'm not crazy about all the artistic embellishments that are in discussion over first person shooters, like forced perspective and motion blur. It seems that with all the improvements in lighting these days there a lot of issues that are raised regarding what is represented on screen, but...
hmm, i'd get whichever is cheaper. If they are both the same price, I'd get the silverstone simply because I don't really dig the shiny copper case of the PCP&C.
otherwise, they are both very high quality, though I think the silverstone zeus line has a better reputation than the PCP&C...
it's quite obvious that the industry is moving in the direction of more power consumption. It's been inevitable since PC's were born. More performance requires more power. Devices will get hotter, power supplies will need to be bigger, and thermal management will need to be more creative to fit...
price drop bump
these prices are just too good to be true, so I can let go of these. but not for any lower.

thinkpad and digicam are pending to runengun right now
Yeah the HDD shock detector is nice, there is a windows utility which lets you monitor the laptop's position relative to the horizon in real time, it's like a built-in gyroscope. Also, the intel wireless b/g card has antennas plugged into it that are wired to the edges of the screen for really...

Eh, what?
In his review he states that it has some of the best line regulation he's ever seen
and for the record, I believe the scope readings show ripple/noise, NOT line regulation. Line regulation is how the voltage changes at different loads. I think.
I have their 500w and I love it
maybe if I ever decide to buy a case and go silent I'll either put a new fan in or buy a new psu, but for the money I can't think of anything better. PCP&C is up there, but double the price.
First, my laptop screen is 14.1", and I don't really have a problem with scrolling (1400x1050)
second, 17" desktop lcd's are almost all 1280x1024. a seventeen inch shows more website than a 19" widescreen. The samsung 21" widescreen is 1050 pixels tall, a hair more website than a 17" and the...
it's bigger
no other reason to get it really
also, because the resolutions are the same, a good 19" lcd is not that much more than a good 17" lcd
I got a 17" purely because it was a little cheaper and I sit no more than two feet from my screen anyway. maybe if it was farther from my...
first thing I noticed too.
but then again, this thread isn't about picture quality.
just one harmless question...how do you know that the difference is the fault of the two different displays, and not the video card?

the only reason to get an lcd is if size or weight or aesthetics are more important to you than anything else. I just bought an lcd because i'm moving a lot recently and my 21" trinitron just isn't practical.
I can only run 1200x1600 @75Hz on my 21" trinitron tube...12x16 @ 85Hz and/or higher resolutions are too blurry for my tastes, and at 75Hz it's not too flickery, just in my peripheral vision, far less bothersome than blurry image of 85Hz...so I may just have a bad tube or really sensitive eyes...
