I saw this and was thinking this is probably a registry issue from people with prior OC settings and maybe custom overclocking utilities. I mean it sort of seems weird the fix is to turn fan control to auto, when its supposed to be on auto from the onset of installation.
Crazy, can't be too hard on him as we all do stupid things sometimes, but I can't forgive the part of his stacking the cardboard on top of the fire to smother it then running off to get literally a handful of water. That's too much.
That's you and one other guy, which may or may not be you yet again. Also if they're so worried about value, why not a used 290 for $200 or even a 390X at $400? Even a 970 is better value than a 980.
It's not a bad card, performance scaling between 1440p and 4k is pretty strange though. Have to believe that drivers will definitely scale the performance higher as times goes on.
AMD will probably not even bother touching the price right now with the regular Fury being their volume product...
What is with people and this power comment. Do you guys really think 80 watts more draw will reflect on your power bill?
Anyway, I see someone selling retail 290s for $200 on ebay. So tempted to jump on it but I really don't game anything that would require anything more than a 280x.
Man, have wondered if its even worth it since nothing I really play uses more graphics than what my current card can use. Damn, decisions.
The reference designs have been trending in the 250 price on ebay for a while now. Bitcoins is the only coin retaining value so mining is pretty much in...
Some of you guys must live by some horrible Best Buys. I've been to maybe 4 of them throughout my area and its always easy to price match and very little do I have to stand in a long line to return things. Also since Amazon charges tax in Florida now, its pretty convenient to take advantage of...
Articles on this kept calling him a man when they stated he just turned 16. Pretty sure that's still classified as being a child and she is clearly the older one here.
Primarily BF4, while still playing Skyrim and will someday finish Crysis 3 :). I'm probably going to lean against it since I'm not playing at the super high resolutions, but it really is tempting with people offloading them for so cheap now.
Was thinking of buying one of those 290s selling for 230~250. I mean is it really worthwhile over my 7970? I mean with the 7970 prices now, I could probably get like 150 after fees max.
The demographics of Google tends to have a lot with where they recruit from. Many of the top universities don't have large minority representation to begin with and that is who they target largely. The people championing the number of Asians also might want to consider many of them, as someone...
I'd get a used 280x on ebay if I were upgrading at this point. They are going for so cheap now, less than $150. If you want to go up to $250, a used 290 would be awesome.
Reason for 280x and 290 are they are at most 8-10 months old and even with constant mining, the underlying hardware should...
There doesn't need to be direct government intervention. Just end the stranglehold on the infrastructure by the major providers that is being enforced by government themselves. I don't know how people can call the broadband industry free market when its such a distinctly monopoly driven economy...
That's what the telephone companies keep telling us after they scammed everyone into paying for massive fiber lines that they charge us an arm and a leg to use a small portion of. Of course they got the power to do all of that by lobbying state government about all the good it will do...
The chips themselves have a pretty long shelf life, its the components around them. Those MSI ones are probably refurbs from MSI anyway so you should be good with the Amazon Warehouse and TegraTech buys.
Wonder if thats what happened to me when I updated to the latest drivers back when I had my 660 Ti. The installer completely wrecked things and I had to wipe my OS for first time since I installed Windows 7 when it first came out!
Generally though, with regards to topic, one shouldn't have...
With DX12 two years away at least, they'll need to optimize the heck out of DX11 to provide a counterargument to Mantle. Especially given it seems that with the two (DX12 & Mantle) being so closely related, work towards one lends benefit to work towards the other.
Maybe he is mad that Bitcoin didn't require a massive 16 trillion dollar bailout using money the federal reserve materializes out of thin air in order to bounce back from a major exchange going down. When the crooks are circling the wagon, you know they are scared.
So beta status shouldn't mean a driver is beta, right. How about having the stupid nvidia driver installer completely bork my system to the point of me having to reinstall the entire OS. I didn't upgrade my nvidia drivers for close to 6-7 months after that happened and even then I knew there...
I think there should be a 2 or 3 page questionnaire to re-affirm that you understand what the word BETA means.
Here is my solution, download 13.12 WHQL drivers and dont worry about mantle or any other BETA driver until a stable final release drivers and well designed ports are out.
Switched to T-Mobile last year and good riddance AT&T. Their wireless coverage, especially for LTE can't be beat, but paying almost double more than what I am paying now really didn't feel like it was worth it.
Haven't noticed any visual differences, but then again I'm not going through it with a fine toothed comb. The game is considerably smoother though, even in areas that used to be a drag even on my system. Minimum fps saw a huge jump, as did average fps. Even despite their claim that the HD 7000...
Probably vast majority of people who buy high end gpu's do not have high end processors. I haven't upgraded my cpu in well over 2 years, but I've changed gpu three times ;/.
