Does anyone know any good programs for finding duplicate pictures and removing them.
I've recently gathered all of the photos from my computers and network and want to go through and tag them, rename and organize them. There are a ton of duplicates I know and I just want them.
Thanks,
Hi all,
I thought I'd post my initial thought of the MacBook Air - Windows Style
Firstly, I should say that I had an HP mininote that I loved, but it just died on me. It was great, but pretty slow and took forever to come out of hibernation or to bootup (via c7 proc) because it was one of...
Take a look. Would love to barter for this. There are some real gems in here. I'm open to trading for just about anything so let me know if anything tickles ur phant'cy. Most everything here is 'mint' meaning that it has all the original boxes, pack-ins, manuals, etc. Let me know if you want...
Hi All.
I have a network that (amongst other things) consists of a D-Link DGL4300 and an older D-Link DI624.
The cable modem connects to the 4300, and I can remotely manage my 4300 from anywhere using a non-standard port.
The 624 is hooked up like a switch (nothing going into the WAN...
All,
I am in the middle of upgrading my BB Storm from an OTA update. So far, things seem to be going well. If you hate BB Desktop as much as me, you will want to update the OS without linking it to your computer, here is how to do it!
1) Go to options\advanced options\service books.
2)...
I hate to start a new thread, but the other storm threads seemed to be all over the place.
Firstly, before reading furthrer I would check out the review roundup at crackberry.com to get a good idea of what people are saying.
Preface: My BB history includes 8700->Curve->Storm...
So the word in the net is really schitzo on this title. Some say it's as pure and scary as the original and others say it's a cheap knock-off.
Some say resources and ammo are scarce, others say it plays like quake3.
Please let us know your thoughts on this game, and whether you have played...
Greetings:
I work in a fairly flexible company who will let you get your own devices (blackberry, iphone, winmo, etc) and then set them up for email and such. Currently I use a blackberry curve from ATT though it is set-up in a very strange way:
1) My work sets up my mailbox to auto forward...
If the technology floats, (and it sounds promising) I think they will be ripe for acquisition provided they have protected their patents. Question, is who has more to gain from a purchase. I think NVDA has the cash, for AMD, it's a last grasp at recapturing the hearts and minds of enthusiasts...
All,
I have a brand new Denon AVR-2808CI AV Receiver in box never been used. I am looking to sell this. Retails for $999.00 I will sell for $700 OBO.
Also I have a 32" olevia LCD TV 232V. Retails for about $500, will sell for $400.
Thanks,
Has anyone ever had a stick of ram go bad on them? I just found out that one of my sticks went bad after over a year of flawless operation.
Seems strange.
So after a year of perfect stability (like rock solid), my computer decided to all of the sudden take crap and flip me off.
I woke up to check email before work and was greeted with a long beep. I hit the reset button and it started up perfectly.
When i got home, the beep returned and it...
My Comp took a dump last night and on top of that, my EXOS sprang a leak. I need to move back to a LGA 775 cooler for my C2D 6600 @ 3ghz. I have a striker extreme. What is a good HSFan combo...needs to handle overclocking but I don't want it too loud.
THanks,
I bit!
I decided on a whim yesterday to get the PS3 bundle with MGS4 and a dual shock. I have been a 360 player for some time now until my box crapped itself. With games and no console, I have been playing a lot of CS:S lately and then yesterday, as if my magic...the sony spirit gripped me and...
just an fyi, there are a few new dream scenes and sound themes available for those with vista ultimate. Nothing overwhelming..but nice to hear some different sounds.
Hi all,
I recently bought COD4 because I was super bored and needed some way to kill a saturday.
It turns out, that I may have killed my xbox.
Upon firing up the console, I was greeted with the dashboard as usual however, when I started the game, the colors became all funky (really...
A while back I had this crazy idea to turn my home into a domain controlled network that would be easy to administrate, secure and backup.
I was (in theory) pretty proficient with server 2000 (one test short of MSCE) but I have not done anything on the server side for some time now...
I picked this up yesterday from the local gamestop (I really want to strangle ALL gamestop employees.....) and ran home to play it before the opening pitch. Here are a few thoughts:
1) The game, through subtle changes, is completely different than TR:L. The controls are a little more...
A few weeks ago, my only TV died and though I did love it, I will not spend the $$ needed to revive the oldish set. It was the first generation 720p DLP series from Samsung and worked great as an HTPC screen because of the DVI input.
I am looking to match the 46" screen size, and would like...
Ladies and Gents,
As part of my uber, super-duper, amazing home network build (HTPC, Workstation, NAS, Server, Xbox1, xbx360, PS2, PSP and Laptop) I am finally done with the hardware side of things and I am now honing in the tweaking and optimizing the software and application side of things...
I actually did this bit for another forum but figured someone may find it interesting here.
I should be following up with HTPC, HomeServer and Network videos as well as the final functionality piece.
LMK what u thing.

So this is kind of an exciting time for us HTPC junkies and flunkies.
It looks like VM may be first out the door with the OCUR tuner with units expected to ship this week.
The configurations are pretty expensive however since the hold-up has been the certification process, I would assume...

This story was posted on the main page but this bit caught my attention:
"Devices and technologies are only as good as the content they use. As the U.S. Chamber of Commerce noted: "The coalition led by the...
A coworker built an MCE box and then realized that his TV doesn't have DVI or VGA inputs. So he hooked it up with component cables and tried to play a DVD and got a copyright protection error.
My understanding is that the 7x series from Nvidia is to blame because it does not support...
So like many of the people trolling the HTPC forum, my roots are firmly planted in the performance computing/gaming arena where speed, speed and speed were the three driving factors in my never-ending affiar with my digital mistress.
Recently however, I realized that my spending on new...
