Just picked up Vice City and i'm having rendering issues in game play. I have the draw distance maxed out but often many textures are not fully displayed (only low-quality blurry textures) even when you're standing right next to them. Also sometimes walls, and stone fences aren't rendered...
Later today I'll be setting up a computer with an nforce2 igp board (biostar) and will be using the integrated video. Do I need to install the forceware 56.whatever drivers for the GPU or will the nvidia nforce2 platform drivers cover it?
thanks
Hi,
I'm building a budget box for a family friend, I'd like to keep the total around 350-400. All she needs the computer for is email, surfing the net, burning cds etc. So gaming performance is a non-issue as is overclocking - doesn't matter.
This board can be had new for $60 and for...
just installed the new cats and everything seems fine except i get hard crashes when trying to play the farcry demo. When I try to start a new game it loads to about 99% and then my monitor seems to restart and shit gets all weird. A couple times i just got a black screen with vertical blue...
I'm assuming that the cat's will run faster based on the fact that omega drivers have many more IQ tweaks. Is this really true?
Also any general comparison between cat's and omega drivers is welcome in this thread.
I just got my 9800Pro AIW to work. With the rig in my sig I got a...
Just installed the latest "4.1" Omega drivers, I had to search for it on other sites though, anyone else notice that the omega driver site is kind of screwed up at the moment?
Anyway...
Which oc'ing utility should i use with these drivers that won't mess with all the optimizations of the...
so i have a ti4600 and apparently the fan has stopped spinning. Luckily i have good air flow and a few fans blowing directly onto the card so i think it should be ok for now but i'd like to get that fan working sooner or later.
Any little tricks for getting it to work again? Contact cleaner...
If you are using a combination like this i'd really appreciate a short reply stating which card u have and which antec model. This should help me diagnose a problem i've been having with my 9800 aiw and a true430.
(if you'd like to know more about this problem I've laid it out in detail on...
I recently bought a BB ATi 9800pro AiW card. I did not expect to have any difficulties, however I couldn't get my computer to start with the card installed. When the power button is pressed all that happens is a momentary spin up of fans and then the computer loses power and will not start...
The problem: I just bought a 9800pro All in Wonder card and the system refuses to boot with the new card installed. When i press the power on button i get a flicker from my cathode light and all the fans spin for a second and then nothing no power, no post, nothing.
I've flashed to the latest...
Well my 9800AIW should arrive tomorrow. For the time being I'd rather not format so what is the best way to clear out all nvidia drivers from my computer (currently using a GF4)?
I remember awhile back there were some utilities like detonator destroyer and the like but i haven't seen an...
I may be selling my Asus Ti4600 to a friend of mine. I'm thinking around $100 would be a pretty fair price.
The card is used but i see new they go for almost $170 or more still.
I'm thinking about getting a dvd burner for a video restoring project i may be paid to do. The current write speeds seem awfuly low though. Is now a bad time to buy one? Will speeds increase fairly rapidly?
Also can someone explain the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R? Just different...
disregarding the price increase, is there any reason to avoid the AIW card in favor of a standard 9800pro? Are they more prone to wearing out? Overheating? Performance or image quality?
And if the overclocking potential is less that doesn't concern me much either. Not with such a high end...
I'm building my parents a better computer out of some of my old parts. This will replace their aging celeron 400..
It will be an amd 1600+ on an epox kt400 board.
My question is: should I get them a modern mid-low end video card just to keep everything relatively up to date (my parents...
My old board is an epox 8k9a kt400. I know that officially the chipset only supports a 333mhz fsb. However where do these boards usually max out? Also if the board was stable at 400mhz would that push all other components too far out of spec? I'm pretty sure it has no dividers.
