If that's the case, then I predict that Star Citizen will become merely an engine that Chris Roberts will work heavily to license to other developers that will make vastly better games with it, while the game Star Citizen itself will flounder and fade under lack of focused vision and too much...
Checking in with my own version of "spent $60 on the Kickstarter, then an additional $120 for more ships, then got really tired of waiting, then got my $180 refunded because I don't care anymore."
Great review...this may be a serious contender for me, but just not a huge fan of only 4 regular-sized USB slots in the back. But other than that, it's what I look for in a motherboard - price especially!
Quick question though: I may be reading this wrong, but I got confused by the following...
I lost all interest in the game recently. Was an original Kickstarter backer, ended up spending $180 total after my original pledge.
I just don't care anymore, I guess.
Requested a refund. It was approved <yay me>.
I can just get at least 3 other great games with that money...
I've always thought lens flare in games draws me OUT of the experience more than drawing me in. It's like a reminder that I'm looking through a screen to play a game.
First person shooters especially...there's no lens flare in real life unless you were actually wearing glasses or looking...
We use Symantec Endpoint Protection for most of our business clients, and have used MSE for businesses smaller than 10 users.
I'm not very impressed with either of them, really.
Does anyone have any opinions on Kaspersky for business/enterprise?
Think their website is too packed or something...can't get to the page to donate to RSI. Main page takes forever to load, and donation page times out with an error. Arg!
Wish they still made force-feedback games. But TOTALLY interested in this game!
EDIT: Hm...http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/forums/topic/force-feedback-joystick-support/
I think hardcore gore only goes so far in a game before it all gets boring and repetitive. That's why gore isn't an end, it's more of a means, and a small one at that. In most games, I think, the gamer is going to pay more attention to what keeps his character going and growing (new places to...
I guess I'm not super worried...pulled all my cash out of stocks (oil, tech, etc.) weeks ago before the downgrade, volatility, etc., and am waiting for the bottom before getting back in. Actually, a part of me is wanting these bubbles to burst so I can get back in at super low prices...
To me this is just another indicator of a second tech bubble coming to light: high-dollar acquisitions, ridiculous valuations for IPO's, etc. I'm a little worried.
Apparently this laptop will be traveling to some African country in the future, so our client has deemed it necessary to cool the laptop externally as well.
Hey all,
I've got a question from a client that is stumping me:
Is there any utility out there that allows you to control the power state of USB ports based on the temperature inside the system? This client is looking to utilize a laptop cooling pad that's powered by USB, but doesn't want...
I've had my Yahoo email since 1998, and I still use it every day along with my GMail. The spam filter is really good, so even though I get some spam it doesn't touch my Inbox.
Yep, it just requires power, no USB ports or anything. You won't be able to use your dedicated PS3 remote anymore once the Logitech IR-to-BT adapter is added to the PS3's Bluetooth device list. However, it is one of the best purchases to make if you use a Harmony remote for all of your other...
There are a lot of older movies on the list, no doubt...but it's also go movies and shows like Hancock, Bolt, The Office Season 5, 30 Rock, Lost, Heroes, etc.
The option would still be there for X58 owners to Crossfire Radeon HD58xx cards, or SLI nVidia's 300-series cards, should there be games that push these cards to their limit. These cards didn't eliminate the desire for SLI or Crossfire, as games will continue to become more graphically intense...
Here's my own price comparison between LGA1156 and LGA1366 (i7 vs. i7) if you're interested:

It seems the low-end X58 boards are not really much more expensive than the low-end P55 boards, if cost is a concern...and I compared the 920 with the 860 instead of the 750 because of the hyperthreading aspect, as both CPU's are virtually the same price.
So really, the major difference here is...
