Well said my friend, amazing the asshats that post here.... I thought these dudes would have more class, sigh. Evidently the nerd fraternity is not that much envogue anymore.
Hard Reset was fun and looked good on the PC. It was a little on the short side (ok a lot), but I really enjoyed it. Best PC game so far for me though is Portal 2 and my son loves The Witcher 2 which I liked as well on the PC. Don't hold out much hope for the rest of the year though and Rage...
Holy hell, why do I keep buying these games? Should have know ID was going to drop another turd, yet here I am back to buy again! The fail is on us users for not learning our lesson the last time ID sent out a big stinking pile of poo.
Played it over the weekend and prepurchased at $26. Ben at Arstechnica poo-pooed the lack of story, but who needs story in thier mind-less shooter? Not me!! Luved the Blade Runner theme; most recommended for the eye candy alone and old skool gameplay is spot on.
Lag will always be a problem on fighting games for any system. I have not seen a fighting game yet that has solved the latency issue. I purchased the PS3 version just to add another title for the PS3. I rented both the PS3 and the 360 versions prior to buying the game and I could not see a...
IMHO, you made a good purchase that should last you at least 2 years if not more. Just tweak the PC with a better video card down the road and you should be happy with the results.
Yeah, if you call O/Cing running a P4 3.0 Ghz to 3.3 Ghz on air, I guess I am technically still O/Cing. But sh!t dude, that's not even comparable to what I use to do....
POINTLESS EDIT III - THE RETURN TO LAMENESS
There's nothing sadder than an old geek trying to relive his former glory...
Yeah, I guess they don't get me....
It's all good, if these twits don't understand I'm just fockin around it's their problem.
At my age I ain't changing, why would I ? So I'm lame, there are worse things I could be....
Aw man, ya called me out, that's not kewl ! :p
(See how I spelled cool all leet like?? That's the mark of a seasoned forum junkie!)
POINTLESS EDIT PART DEUX:
Shame on you guys, you have awoken the PC geek in me and I thought I was a recovering addict... :(
My thoughts exactly! Believe or not, but from 1994 to 2004 I reconfiged my entire PC every 3 months. Everybody in SE Texas has my old rigs floating around somewhere (garbage heap).
But around 2004 I really lost the interest in PC building and concentrated on my career (who knew I would grow...
OK, I have been remiss in recent years posting on the forums but back in the day I was an [H]ard|Forum Junkie and if ya knew me way back then, I was always a little sardonic in my posts.
This my fellow [H]ard|Gawds, was a tongue firmly planted in cheek post, why would I ask a question that...
Ramon are you always a douche or is it just that time of the month? :D
I've been surfing these forums for 8 years and Ramon's has to be the most informative post ever. Ya know what ya momma says if you don't have anything nice to say.....
Anybody else like to give a senior forum member...
OK, how about this question; coming from a P4 3.0 Ghz Northwood at 3.3 Ghz, 220 FSB, 2 GB DDR, AGP mobo, which would be better a Q6600 or e8400? Also, still go with the Nvidia 780i mobo or the newer Intel P45's?
I've had this PC since 2004 (tweaked along the way of course) so I think I can...
Received my WD6400AAKS from New Egg on Friday, March 7. Finally installed the drive Sunday afternoon. Just did Disk to Disk copy using Drive Image 7.0 from my old WD 250GB HD. I figured this was the easiest route and could do an install from scratch later if needed. This is run on an ABIT AI7...
That sucks I just bought GH2 for the 360 for my son for Easter. (nothing says Easter like Devil worshiping acid rock lol) I hope my whammy bar works but will not kinow until Sunday.... BTW work blocking game web sites, you don't happen to work for Sunoco? (I know we are not the only ones)
My friends 19" LG had the same problem, but with the VGA port (VGA only monitor). The service tech said to hard reset the monitor by holding down the monitor power button for 10 seconds and it worked. Not sure that would solve the problem with your monitor but worth a try... another solution...
Sidder,
Thanks for throwing a monkey wrench in my monitor decision..... now I have WA envy :p You know what ever you buy you're always going to regret it, but I didn't think it would be this soon! I have 7 days to return the LG226WT to CC but unless I exchange for another monitor I have to...
I think you mean the sharpness setting, I have mine set at 7 as well and it does help readability. Also, FireFox lets you scale fonts if they are to small. View--Text Size--Increase (shortcut CTRL +)
I'm having the same sync problem with forte manager at bootup (even the lastest version off the website). I just turn the monitor on and off to resync the signal, I don't reboot this PC much so it's not really an issue with me. I did like the fact that you could turn off the blue LED power...
Interesting... if you had to keep only one of those 22" monitors which one would that be, the LG or Samsung? I did save money, but for $40 more I could trade up for the Samsung 226BW. I'm such a finicky bastard... ;)
stanleyjohn you are probably right that he needs to make sure to install the OS drivers that came on the Samsung CD and then reinstall the latest ATI CCC drivers.
Also don't forget to install LG forte manager calibration software, makes a world of difference.
