Better picture quality. I got an OLED tv recently and now my monitor looks like shit in comparisons.
I saw the one new but $2200 is a little much. I don’t mind $1k or so. I was looking at the 27” 4K ones, if it was gonna be a big improvement.
Current System:

I have a second PC I use for streaming/recording (Ryzen 1700X, 980TI, Elgato 4k capture card).
Is it worth selling these two and getting a 2950x and just having 1 PC for everything? I would reuse my 1080TI (or upgrade to 2080TI later this year).
How do you like the TV on top? I'm thinking of doing something similar. Do you use it for tv or consoles at all? I'm worried mine would be too high.
Also, what do you have holding it? Just a basic wall mount?
I currently game on a 4k 40" Samsung TV. The picture quality is phenomenal and I use it for my consoles as well.
However I recently tried a 120hz 1080p monitor and games feels so much better.
I'm thinking of "upgrading" my systems and am looking at the Acer x34 (and putting my TV above it)...
I'm trying to setup a software KVM for 2 computers and 3 monitors. The setup I want is to have PC 1 to have 2 monitors, and PC 2 to have 1 monitor, but I want the PC2 monitor between the two other monitors. Is that possible?

I've decided that if time to upgrade my 50" Samsung dlp tv for something new and shiny. I would like to get 4K.
I current use the tv to play consoles (xbone and ps4) and I also have it connected to my computer for some couch gaming (usually casual single player games).
Would I be better...
I currently have a 6950, and am starting to struggle in some of the newer games (I also run at 1440p).
Would it be better to buy another 6950 and do Crossfire, or just buy a new card?
Edit: Crossfire not SLI :)
Has anyone had issue with the audio out? I hooked up my PS3 to the monitor via HDMI, and then connected my computer speakers to the audio out, but its still coming from the monitor speakers. Is there a way to change this in an option or something, or is mine defective?
This is the stand I used. I had to use the adapter with it to make it works. Its amazing though!

I've had mine for about a month now, and I absolutely love it. It took me a couple of days to get use to (I had a 22" before). I also upgraded the stand to the dell once, which made a huge difference.
Just picked this monitor up yesterday and its amazing. I was running a 22" 1680x1050 monitor before. As for my videocard, I am running a 6950. I tried BF2, Planetside 2, and WOW. All look great. Going to try some PS3/Xbox tonight and see how that looks.
I didnt try downgrading it back yet. The reason I updated though is I bought a new processor, and the computer wouldn't post with it until I updated the bios.
i upgraded bios on my P5B deluxe mobo (1238) and I can't get my raid to work at all now
All I had to do before was go to IDE config and set the sata to RAID, and then select the RAID as my primary boot.
But now when I do that, the raid doesnt even show up, and I can't seem to enter the...
Im excited. My x1900xt has lasted a good bit, but its starting to suffer a little bit.
As soon as I can find a place to pre-order the 4870, I am doing it!!
I ran into similar problem with my LCD tv (except I was using an ATI card).
I had to change the resolution via display setting instead of using the ati software.
Has anyone used it? I was thinking of getting Vista Premium upgrade from there and installing.
What I was curious about though, is that since it's an upgrade version, will I have to install XP first anytime I want to reformat?
My University has both wired and wireless setups on campus. The WiFi however, seems to block a lot of ports, but the wired does not. What sucks, is that the dorm that I stay in only has WiFi.
I called the IT department and they said things are blocked because they don't want gaming over the...
I'm thinking of building a PC for use when I am at my dorm @ college. My main computer is way too big (mountain mod cube case and dual WC loops). So I need something small in size to do some gaming, yet relatively cheap. I will be playing on my sharp LCD tv, so my resolution will only be like...
Thanks for the advice everyone. Im putting the HD in my other machine right now to see if I can delete that file. If that doesn't work then I guess Ill just reformat it for him.
I am working on my friends PC and it wont boot into windows. When booting it gets to the windows loading screen, flashes up a quick BSOD, and then reboots the computer (too fast for me to even see what the message says). I tried to boot into safe mode and it gets stuck when loading sptd.sys...
On my mobo, where the processor goes, 2 of the little pins in the socket area are bent down and most likely not touching the processor.
I was wondering if this would cause my computer to not boot?
I need a recomendation for a PSU for this set up. I was running dual PSU, but want to just go to 1.
Mobo (current one died, not sure what new one will be)
C2D e6400 (oc'ed)
(2) sticks 1gig DDR2 ram
x1900xt
(1) IDE HD
(2) 74 gig raptors
(3) seagate barracudas
(2) water coooling pumps...
Tried that, still nothing. I think the mobo is dead. I unplugged the power from the videocard, and when I would normally turn it on it should make a loud noise. This time it Didnt.
cleared CMOS-yes
Reseated cables-yes
Indication of power- green light on mobo is on, and fans connected to it power on
Reseat memory-yes
havent pulled everything out yet.
I took my PC apart last night to set up a new WC loops. Let it run to check for leaks, etc. I just put all the stuff back in to my PC and it wont post. It turns on and everything is running, but nothing shows up on screen. There is no beeping noise or anything.
I even took it down to bare...
