I'd rather have more displays with no frames between them:

For those two lazy to click:
"The NCSA tiled display wall has gone through several iterations. Our newest configuration features a cluster of 40 high-end PCs with Nvidia GeForceFX 5900...
Was on automagically for me.
EDIT: You prolly want to have the new ATI beta catalyst LDDMs installed, available from ATI"s site: ati.com, clic support/drivers, click page 2, click Vista LDDM thing, download from there.
I've used blender a while. It is somewhat difficult (at least was for me) getting used to the interface, but I've never really done any 3d modeling. At this point, I like it. If I could find a better solution, I would take it, but I really doubt that there is anything better than blender...
105F at my house in TX, and up real close to 100 and occassionally over here in NM. Just cranked up my folding, I couldnt keep the room under 85F or so during the winter because of heat from my AXP1800+. Now that the A/C is on, I'd be glad to host boxen here if anybody in NM needs a place with...
Mine's still uploaded and will be for a while, though it may not be the type of example that you're looking for (see posts earlier in the thread). http://lee.thebakerbunch.com/resume.pdf
If this doesnt work, check your routes (start->run->cmd, type "route print" and hit enter) (esp. if you have multiple network connections, eg. wireless and wired cards). Make sure that the automagically generated routes are correct. If you need help with this, post the output of "route" up here.
I would recommend name brand cards (3com/intel). The only problem I've ever had was an issue with multiple single port 3com cards in a machine (3c905C-TXMs and a 3c595), and from what I understand, its a common issue. However, other than that one isse all of the 3com cards that I've had have...
Things that I think mournblade missed:
- Keep margins small. This helps keep the resume or CV down to one page.
- When listing work experience vs. skills vs education, list the more impressive things first!
Somebody should ask BobSutan to edit these into the first post, or maybe...
Gigabit is always auto xover if I remember right. I've always wondered why all 100mbit wasnt, though I have a few things that are auto xover (SMC switch at home, 3coms at old workplace).
Put him on a hub and use ethereal. That captures anything and everything that it can see, and does an incredible job of decoding it. Great filters as well.

Man, this thread has been going on for 6 months.... thats a pretty good achievement. I almost went for this deal, and from the sound of things, im pretty glad i didnt.
Seconded..... would be VERY happy for primea to buy you a drink.
Thanks for all the time you put into this. I've learned quite a bit, mostly from reading your comments to other people.
My 9600xt can run farcry at 16x12, and its wonderful to look at with textures etc turned up. However, I usually dont play at that. Depending on level, I will play at 10x7 or 12x9. Framerate in farcry really varies quite a bit depending on where you are, esp. at higher resolutions.
I have ordered from sidewinder, and they were great. The messed up my order a bit, but they were in the process of moving their operation, and just overall had awesome customer service. Would definitely recommend (more than i would recommend newegg in fact).

Thats great.... I really wish all cable internet companies would follow Comcast's example of how to provide for customers. Here in our area, base cable is (*drum roll and prepare floor for rofling*) 128/128 ($40/mo), with the upgraded cable being 512/128($50.mo). However, my dad called and...
Heres another update- I added quite a bit to this one.
Newest resume: http://lee.thebakerbunch.com/resume.pdf
jmroberts- When listing years experience, I listed experience as the number of years I have been using each particular skill. However, I havent been actively using each skill 40hrs...
Don't use all caps unless you have to.
So you recieve education from _and_ worked for PC Professor? I had to read that twice to get that.
You might add "COMPTIA A+ Certified" to the bottom to clarify.
A good start so far.

Personally, I think its a bit too much bold... but maybe not. Would like feedback on the formatting.
I'm not very specific about the job that I want because I'll take...
The main reason I asked was to see which resume would be the best one to model mine after, though that probably isn't quite the greatest way to do it.
I've completed a first draft of my resume, and would appreciate feedback from yall.

In case it...
Two questions (mainly for jmroberts, though anybody could answer):
1. Who's resume on here is the best so far?
2. How do you address a cover letter when you are using the same one for multiple jobs? I know this is kind of a strange question, but I'm applying for internships at Lockheed...
Blitting is basically copying a btimap from one part of memory to another, sometimes scaling it or some other simple operation. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit_blit
Doctype is needed to correctly validate. I think that the white line is small enough now that I'm gonna ignore it. Thanks.
btw. Thats called "standards mode" in browsers I believe.
That access forbidden is because we have some system outages on a daily basis here at college... Sorry bout that, should be up now.... please add any and all of the addresses at http://externalweb.nmt.edu/isd/contact.htm to your spam lists...we hate 'em.
Thanks for your time. I did the same thing, and I'm pretty puzzled. It was much worse before I defined margins on the table. See http://www.nmt.edu/~lbaker/cn/nav/cranenerds.css for more on that.
Looks like one of the rebates was taken down. I would appreciate somebody putting up the 1392 pdf... email to leeNOSPAM(at)cranenerds.com if you need it hosted.

Hi, I'm having trouble getting my layout table to line up with a browser window. There's always a bit of extra space at the top and sides of the table, and I don't know how to get rid of it. Also, the amount of space varies depending on the page you're on. Problem shows itself in both firefox...
For me and all my clients I've just gotten systemworks 2003 off of half.com for under $10 shipped. Can't beat it, has all the norton stuff before it got (more) bloated and really slow with NAV2k4. Kinda nice to have ghost and a bunch of other stuff thrown in there. And, since I reinstall more or...
Good call...
I think the tv tuner rant up there was not quite accurate- I have a card known to have horrible drivers (which i can confirm after around 20 hours of figureing out how to get it to work, came down to installation in a certain order in a certain pci slot, and not using certain...
