I think it depends on your drive's firmware and/or the revision. I have 2x DM10 right now, and I can't use any SATA drivers newer than 6.39, with the same board as you - A8N32. Same issue with my older board, DFI NF4 as well.

Easy fix: use older Forceware SATA drivers. 6.39 works fine. Is there any way to contact them?

Ya, I've seen that but it's from some small time store which just copies and pastes the same description for everything. I don't think all the 'black' drives are fluid bearing because look @ the 36GB raptors, they're still ball bearing :( Only the 74GB raptors are fluid, according to SR's...

I tried looking everywhere for confirmation that this drive has Fluid bearings but it's not on WD's site or SR's review. I hate ball bearing drives, I used to have 2 of them, both WD and they got LOUD when the bearings started to wear out. Thanks

Ok so the instructions say to pack it with 2inches of solid foam around the drive. I don't have foam, but I do have tons and tons of high quality bubblewrap. Can I pack 2 inches of that around the drive? Will they accept it or screw me over? Thanks

That's the thing, I don't know if it's worn out or not until I get it. How long does it usually take to 'wear out' a 92mm Tornado /w fan controller?

I'm about to purchase one that has been used for about a year with a fan controller, will it be noticeably noisier than a brand new tornado? I've used a 80mm Tornado for the last 6months+ and haven't noticed any increase noise, but maybe because it was such a gradual increase?

Thanks :) I've got the Maxtor DM10 native SATA drives, so it only has one SATA connector. The Molex to SATA adapter works though. :confused:
