In the rig in my sig, I get 10300 3dmark06 points in sli, but get 8100 points single card.
Is this indicatiing a large deficit because of the cpu? What processor would i need to get more performance? Is there a point where cpu scaling doesn't help anymore with these cards? I thought sli would...
No he doesnt...doesnt have to go am2 anyway. He can use his current memory by buying a cheaper board, Biostar t-force 6100 939 anyone? And a 165 or faster opty can't he?
Yeah I don't see the point really...prices will drop eventually.I'm running 2 gts in sli and it does everything very well. As I am space limited on my desk\computer room I only have a 19 inch widescreen lcd , so I turn everything up to max and its beautifull.I know c2d is supposedly the way to...
As per my sig I have the corsair nautilus wc setup that i am extrememly happy with, and as I am not after EXTREME overclocking i was wondering if it could handle my 2 8800 gts's and my cpu at its present speed. And also where the heck can i get waterblocks for these cards?
Your heatsink isn't seated properly, you said you glued it? Get a new one and install it. It said 82c but windows would show, so i bet its just overheating.
Are the rumors I have been hearing true? Are semprons going to be offered in dual core?
Just wondering if this is true or not....it would make a very interesting budget machine if true.
I just purchased that same combo ...some Giel? ram a gig stick....you need to flash the bios though if you have an early revision to recognize all the ram....put this in the wifes rig, first thing i did was apply as5 to the stock heasink, set the fsb to the max it would go on that board wich...
My trusty 9700 pro has finally proved itself unworthy...cant run much of anything new, decently anyway, except it did a great job with HL2, (the only game I own I have ever finished by the way). So, I was at the local Best Buy and saw an x850 pro agp for 229 bucks, and though ah what the hey...
I am building this system for a customer for a home business, he will be doing light cad work with auto-cad 6 , and running 3 other programs at the same time , none of them too extensive. i,m trying to keep it under 1500 bucks as the comp is part of another deal we have going. If I should go The...
Ok then , since I know nothing about an intel rig....If I decided to go that way what would you suggest about cpu, motherboard, and memory changes and still keep it at the required price range plus or minus 200 bucks?

I play everything with my 9700 Pro ....it still kicks major ass. I dont know what you are talking about...mabye some newer games at ultra high resolutions, or doom3 at ultra high detail.
Tell me about it, this place sure has changed in the last few years, full of sniveling kids and assholes. Anyway I liked the guide and thanks for the work, but I still cant find a shootout anywhere with the latest cards, anyone help me there? Thinking of upgrading my vid card ....but I will...
Its not your ram.....this forum sure has changed while I was away....used to get fast replies to answers....anyway I got mine to run by upping the fsb....kepp ram at 200 in the bios and use the utilit to raise the fsb....worked for me .You will be overclocking but these chips do it easily.
Just got this setup and it rocks and I am very pleased except for one issue.
