Just got a new Magic Keyboard with TouchID and am pretty happy with it. Is it worth close to $200? I dunno. Does it work well? sure

Previous daily driver was the Ducky One 3 SF with speed silver switches.

What kind of budget do you have? Have you looked into dedicated fiber between the two locations? Depending on location it may be cheaper than you expect.
I've been using this ducky one2 SF with MX Blues for a while, and don't really like it. Not sure what I want to try next. I have another mech with mx brown that I kind of like, but I can definitely type the fastest and most accurately on my macbook pro keyboard. Maybe I should try one more mech...
Got it installed tonight, and it's running great. It's actually been a while since I've played around with anything that has a GUI. Cinnamon looks great, and runs super smooth.
Looking for any sort of video card pci-e or pci is fine. All it will need to do is display a desktop. This will be going in a plex server that does not have integrated video on the mobo I already have.
BestBuy has had a few rigs for $1,199 today with the 3060. I decided to grab one since nobody is selling bare cards at or near MSRP anymore. $1,199 for Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb ram, 3060 (non-TI), 1Tb hdd + 512Gb SSD isn't that bad. I had a similar spec HP on order, but cancelled it since the...
After a few days of using the ducky I decided I needed some sort of wrist support. Ended up making a little wrist rest out of some scrap 1x3 and am really happy with it. Need to get some poly on it. Fun little 15 minute project with some sandpaper.
Just got a ducky one 2 sf pure white and really enjoy it so far. Still using a g502 mouse. I went with blue switches this time since my last board had browns. Gotta love that click.
A few complaints about it so far
- I got the "year of the rat" space bar, and the color is a little more...
It seems like there are some pre-builts with nice specs and a 3080 around $2k. almost seems worth it to buy, sell the 3080 for $1,400 on ebay, then buy another one once prices come down and get a nice rig for ~$600 + whatever video card you add later.
After having kids I've had almost zero time for games. I'll still fire up CS:GO for an hour or two with a few cold beers after everyone goes to sleep, but it's pretty rare.
Early days:
Kid Pix Studio (not really a game, but hella fun)
Oregon Trail
Lemmings
Dr Riptide
Meavis Beacon teaches typing
Later days (HS): (We had a tech teacher who was awesome and hosted "computer club" after school on thursdays. Basically just a LAN party on school PCs every week, then we...
I do a lot of phone interviewing, and my browns were distracting. Now I have two keyboards sitting on my desk, one with browns for when I'm just working alone, and an apple keyboard for when I'm on the phone
"Amazon Go basically combines a library with a Starbucks."
wait.... what? Amazon Go has nothing to do with Books or Coffee?
Also.. the Forbes link is dead now.
What gear are you running currently? Can you setup a span / monitor port on the existing firewall / router?
Or build one like this:

hak5 also has one available for cheap:

Bought this today after a few friends convinced me to. Played about an hour and a half tonight. It seems fun, but I get bored sitting around waiting so I start running around, then I get shot in the face. Seems fun, but I'm not sure how much time I'll spend playing. In my hour and a half I think...

I don't understand how game stop is still in business. If there is a title you are looking forward to, why wouldn't you just pre-order it online? Same with new consoles. Even trading in old games can be done online through Amazon now.
You could find a 3750X in that price range if used is an option:

The fans are not super quiet, but they are not that loud either.
64gb space gray pre-ordered, but showing early december delivery date.
I got the case for it yesterday and it is smaller than I expected. I'm excited to see how it looks when I get the actual phone. If I don't like it, I'll sell on Ebay and buy an 8 plus.
