Well, I came up with another solution. I made a 1px by 1px square graphic of the color I want, and then put that in place of the HR and use the width attribute to stretch it out to about 400 px wide. I don't get to do it as a percentage, but it still works.

Do any of you know a way to get Netscape to recognize color on an HR tag? I know you could cheat and do a div border or something like that, but this would be simpler and I have my HR's set at 75% anyway. Any of the tutorials I've read say that Netscape won't do the HR color but I'm hoping...
