If Dell has a business space based out of Oaklahoma - they have to - by law - charge any applicable taxes. There's no avoiding it.

I'd love to see this happen for those who don't use unattended installs. It is possible to add mass storage drivers to an unattended install and doesn't require you to baby-sit an install. :)

The REAL question is, who manufactures that printer for Dell? (Dell doesn't really manufacture too many of their peripherals). It could be Lexmark, Kodak, or even HP. It's quite possible that whoever makes it has a similar model whose cartridges you can purchase for less :)

That's a limitation of Flash memory. Meeting the USB 2.0 spec makes it a bootable device among other things. Of course, to boot off of it you need an OS that supports it and a motherboard that supports it. :)
