Hello all; I have a Perl program I've been working on (on Windows, ActivePerl 5.10), and I can't seem to properly access my class' variables. Below is an example of how i'm making the call:
----
sub dispCmd{
$cur_sel=shift();
my $cmdtemp = $batches{$batchnum}->{$cur_sel};
my...
So, basically, I've got a program that uses WWW::Mechanize to auto-login to a website as a preparation to download info (it's an https site). It works fine whenever I run it normally (ie, as a .pl file), but whenever I try and use Perl2Exe to convert it, the converted file starts but returns the...
Whew! You guys are pretty awesome at setting everything out; got some more research to do, but yea, looks like I'll probably be upgrading the mobo, an x38/x48, possibly either a
- Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4
- Asus P5E WS Professional
They support the 1066 RAM I already have, and have dual LAN...
Hey all. I'm in the process of building a new comp, and have already ordered everything but the graphics cards. After doing research on them, however, I think I might have made a bad choice for my motherboard. What I have is this:
Asus P5K Deluxe
Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066 - 4GB (2x2GB)...
...aaand of course I solve the problem right after posting. Turns out MS doesn't know what it's talking about, there shouldn't be any spaces between things after the /categories option.
Hello, I'm trying to capture only the main System Summary (the thing that pops up when you start msinfo) from the command line as a file, to help create an automatic system identification prog, but whenever I run the commands that are supposed to work (as per the MS online document about...
Thanks for the quick reply! Pinging google just confirmed that there's no connection outside my comp; the local ping (127.0.0.1) gave me 0% error, and I did install the drivers for the new NIC card; it didn't activate, but it did once I deactivated all on board devices (figured it was the same...
Hey; was at a LAN party this last weekend, and the network/internet worked fine. But now, back at my house, my computer lost the internet! I was trying to share the connection with another computer (I have 2 on board ethernet ports), and after messing around, the other computer is working...
Well, maybe I just had a bad experience, but this is the second time I'd be RMAing this mobo (and apparently, it's out of warranty, so I have to pay $35 for them to replace it; almost considering buying a newer board instead). Last time, it took them a month to get me my replacement board, which...
Hey there; so I've had this motherboard (MS-7100-020, MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLi) for a couple of years, and it appears to be dead. I drove to a friend's house this weekend with my comp; it worked when I left, it didn't when I arrived; I have no idea what might have happened, but I've eliminated...
Hey there guys, just picked up a DS Lite, and it's great! I'd like to get a good library going, and figured this would be a good place to start. So without further ado, here's a list of games I'd like to pick-up:
Lost Magic
Brain Age
Metroid Prime: Hunters
Castlevania: Dawn of...
No, they don't specifically mention it, but it's certainly implied. I mean, what are your choices for the people who are going to be seeing those commercials and caring? Windows, or Linux users. And the comparatively few Linux people aren't gonna be paying attention to them except to make fun of...
Hehe, well lucky for him he abhors drinking. So I'll probably try for the 6800GS XFX; but any specific mobo I should try for (that's non-SLi?). Figure I'll probably go for an MSI or Asus since I want to make sure I get him a quality mobo, and probably an nForce4, unless you guys have any other...
So if I do go with a lesser, non SLi mobo and a 6800gs, what mobo would you reccommend? And does eVGA have any kind of warranty like BFG's? I've heard many good things about eVGA, but that warranty is a pretty big factor.
Hey, I'm putting together a $500 gaming PC for a friend. I want it to be at least decently future proof, so I feel that socket 939, and PCI-Express/SLi are two things which he can't do without. So far, the main performing parts list I'm planning to get is:
AMD Athlon64 3200+
1GB PC3200 RAM...
Hmm, actually, it seems like that code might only be checking and eliminating the string if it starts with a \, not contains a \, though I can't be certain right now; can you confirm or deny this? :confused:
Hello, am I having a problem with a little program I've been writing/adding onto just as something to challenge myself.
I've used Winamp forever, and have some pretty big playlists, and sometimes it can be difficult to find certain songs or artists on them. So I've been working on a program...
Oooooh, nice! Oh yea, and the bike's not too shabby either ;)
Seriously though, that's a very nice job. It's very obvious you put a lot of time and effort into it, it really shows, and it definitely paid off. Well done! *Thumbs Up*
Meh, I gave up on waiting and just got one off eBay. $978 Shipped and Insured. Not a bad deal considering it may end up below $1000 again in the near future. Didn't really feel that it was worth it to wait and hope it got down below $900 again in the next few months and then stick on shipping. ;)
Based on how they've handled sales with their other monitors after they've come out, do you guys expect those coupons to actually come, and anytime soon? :confused:
What i did when mine broke was follow the advice of some guys on here, worked great; Odds are all the caps you could need will be found on a power supply, so if you've got a broken one laying around, open her up and check, and i'll bet you'll find what you're looking for ;)
aah, ok thanks; I tried looking around here in the electronics cause i figured thats where it would be; twould appear not >.< I tried searching but "7V" is too common to be included, so it came up with results for "molex". Go figure>.<
Oh I have indeed seen heat...
On my last mod, an AMD XP 3000+, forgot to take fan placement into account, and when I first was installing windows it ran up to about 93 C before she crashed. :eek: I freaked out, got a big fan and cooled it that way after letting it rest for awhile. Various fan...
Yes, this is very awesome! If I wasn't waiting to get a 2405 24" widescreen, I'd hop onboard this one. Now to bide my time till I can get a 2405 for under $950...
Blast! My Original Intellimouse that died about a year ago is too old! Guess I'll just have to live with my Razer Viper. :) It's a shame though; that mouse was incredible, especially for it's time. So incredibly ergonomic... :D
Seriously? Can someone link me? I'd love to get to read that. It's nice to see a really talented person get recognized, especially a female modder. Let's the world know they truly exist :)
Wow, this thing has laid dormant for far too long. Where has the remarkable lady with the incredible talent gone to? Will no one carry on her tale? What about the guide? Inquiring minds must know! ;)
I humbly bow down to your etching skills, High Priestess of the mod Jessica.
