Yes, definitely...they tend to go smaller.... I thought that the PC-V2120 would serve me well, even in the future, is nice built, lot of space and storage...but for those who need watercooling is not a case I would suggest....
Problem is that you can mount only two 360 rads if you use the side bracket for SSD...not sure two 360 are enough...
Would prefer 140 running slower...
No...only a TR4 3960X and a RTX3090..but I like the possibility to mount all the rads and fans without having to compromise too much...and not least, lot of space for drives...
Apparently is out of production, but the store were I bought it state that the supplier has still two items on...
So,
I have decided to buy the Thermaltake Core W200....plenty of space for both fans and radiators and drives...
It will fit under my desk too !
Hopefully by mid January will be here.
Thanks for the information about the fans.
Thanks.
On your top radiators have you gone push pull or only push ?
Unfortunately that guy with the Core X9 never showed up...but I see that TT has a "modern" version of that case:
https://www.thermaltakeusa.com/level-20-xt.html
Basically same...
One last question..
For the top radiators..does it make a difference if the fan is ABOVE the radiator in pull mode or BELOW the radiator in push mode ?
Obviously a push-pull solution would be more efficient...more noisy but more efficient...I guess.
But not having the space to go for a push-pull...
No problem !
I could have guessed...
As a P/S I have a Corsair AXi 1500W which I believe will be enough..
I already have many Noctua fans...all A15 and A12...
Regarding rads, I asked HWLabs, Alphacool, XSPC what they would suggest for my need and after I have their answers I will...
Hi tived,
Nice system you have there...and speaking of the "mess"....I will care less about fancy look...then important thing, to me, would be the overall efficiency of the system...so, if it work as it should, then its perfect !
I pay particular attention to avoid all the RGB/LED/etc.. kind of...
Hi,
thanks for all the good suggestions.
Regarding the drives on the desktop... they are not the main NAS device...just storage for a lot of stuff that I need to work on.... incredible how cheap are HDD with big amount of storage...
I have a NAS Synology connected to our home network...
Going...
Yes, I meant the fans to cool the big radiators...
Don't plan to run that type of workloads....more like lightroom/ photoshops..some video encoding and some gaming.
Was thinking more at overclocking than long hours workloads...
In regard to the M.2 addon card...I have a Asus Zenith II extreme...
So, since you have a 3970X....what kind of temps I should expect under load with a good cooling system ?
Is it right that the thicker the radiator, the louder the fans will be?
So maybe going with more thinner radiators would help in this regard...
What you think ?
I see what you mean.....the fact is that I don't have the knowledge to know how much stuff (and which parts) would be necessary to have an efficient system ( like saying temps not > 75 degrees C on full load) with an acceptable noise level..
I just checked the noise level of my actual system...
You mean the Lian-Li O11D-XL?
BTW...I found one Core X9 on ebay..a guy living 20 min away from me has one and for a good price..will go take a look...
But will look at the Lian-Li too...
Hello everyone !
Wow thanks a lot, so many suggestions !
I might add that I probably would not plan to liquid cool the GPU...only the CPU and maybe the VRM too, but that's it.
Zarathustra[H] : Obsidian 1000D... I see what you mean..I've read many reviews of people that worked with this case...
Hello,
I am in the process of building a new system based on the TR4 3960X CPU.
Currently I have the Lian-Li PC-V2120 case, but if need to go liquid, probably I will need to change it because I can only fit a 360 on top, with a maximum thickness (including fans) of 60mm...can you suggest a...
