Hi. I have read that the Optoma UHD38 does not have the best black levels due to its bright bulb. But, I haven't seen it pitted against its UDH35 sibling, there. Could the dimmer bulb of the UHD35 mean better black levels than the brighter UHD38?

Would be great, ya. With how low modern IPS response times are getting, an IPS with good black levels could be endgame display tech. None of the burn-in of OLED. Plus, let's face it, MicroLED is a pipe dream.

This is one of the main reasons why I think it was a good idea that, despite being 16:9, the VA Samsung G7 was curved.

Was considering the Alienware before I saw this, thinking it would be less laggy than the LG CX, not having the processing lag of a TV and all. 30ms is retardedly slow. Into the trash it goes. Almost slower than my IPS laptop. Embarassing for any gaming monitor, let alone an OLED one.

There are some especially good (high DAC pixel clock) DP to VGA dongles that are USB C instead of full displayport. There are full displayport options that are just as competent. But, there are less of them, and they seem to be out of stock more often than the good USB C options.
