Do not wanna have to. I already tried deleting the entire .minecraft folder and reinstalling the game launcher...that did not work either.

I just prefer the java version because of modding and free resource packs and shaders. The most recent minecraft version also came with a change in the Java version to 16.

Hello everyone! I found the solution. Turns out that Battlefield 3 must be governed by some other Drive checking system. Her Steam directory and Origin directory were in different drives. Apparently this was NOT a problem for newer games like Battlefield 1 but it IS a problem for older games...

Not to my knowledge no she did not. It seems like, even when the game is installed via steam and appears under the steamapps folder, origin can not see the installation. It does not know. I will try these solutions.

Yeah, but since it was purchased ON steam, it just launches the steam client and does it through there anyway. Really annoying.

There is nothing in the monitor OSD that would suggest that I am getting less performance than is to be expected. Now I am really confused XD. Could one of the DP outs in my RTX 2080 Super just be slower than the rest? Should I try a different port?

The refresh rates are set the same yes. 144Hz. Other games are better but not quite as snappy as the previous one monitor setup. And deep sleep is disabled on both monitors. Both monitors are running via a display port cable.

No I am running the game at the same resolution. It is a really long time for those tab outs and it is the biggest issue on modern warfare. The wake up times for the monitors is also pretty bad lol

So I did some trial and error and lowered to OC a bit and it seems to have stabilized it a lot. GPU usage seems to fluctuate some but not as much. I still have no idea WHY the usage would EVER be less than 90% when running 1440p at max settings. Will continue testing and will keep the thread...

So, I tried the resolution test and after lowering the game to 720p at the same graphics settings I saw maybe a 5 to 10 FPS increase? I assume that means that I am likely CPU bound then. It just is so frustrating because SOMETIMES I can SEE that when the GPU hits 100% usage I get like 150 FPS...

So, I lowered the OC and went into my registry editor and performed a fix that I found on a battlefield forum and I have not been able to replicate the error since. As a result I can not provide an exact copy of the error. If it happens again I will absolutely share it here! Thank you!!

Also, new development. I just started getting an error on all Battlefield games that tells me that I have removed my graphics card? What? It then crashes to desktop. No other games crash this was. Modernwarfare has a different crash message. Any thoughts?

That would be quite unfortunate if I was. I have friends with worse rigs than mine who are not CPU bound. I was under the impression that the 3800x was MORE than enough for a 2080 super. Could something be wrong?
