yea thats playing with fire in my opinion. Think about the pressure it can cause when something rests against it like sandwiched in a backpack or if your resting your hand on that spot.
Is the chance it could transfer any static or electricity and short that way? I honestly dont know but i am...
bought the 1TB premium but what are prospects of newer and bigger ones? i recall 2TB was supposed to come but am out of loop. can you give me low down on controller and nand and whats expected?
thanks!
i think you mean turning off virtual memory. you still have to do that in win 10. i burned...
contacts or agreements are not always binding and are not law.....aka criminal or even civil. many contacts will never hold in court like altatbs examples
there are working cases in france and EU and even US about property rights and licenses. particular in regards to games and digital products.
it kinda sounds like it did which is BS in my view (going from the terminology in the windows update section...still researching. Do you have prior knowledge of past examples? or was this a theorized idea?). Sounds like something that might turn out to be a class action suit 10 years down the...
Always has for me *shrugs* Buy 1 key use it and after like 20 installs you just call the phone number and they okay the install.
You guys have any experience with those ~$10 OEM keys? Are they a install once and if you need to reinstall they are dead? Or if you change MB they brick?
I have always been able to run my Win Pro whatever addition on multiple rigs at once. I think i have has up 5-8 PCs in my home on 1 key just fine for almost 20 years (2000/xp-win 10).
when i reactivated the key was tied to a microsoft account with a phone number. I want it back to being tired with nothing....no account. Can you release it from an MS account?
every install or reactivation requires Mr X to go to email and cellphone to verify...thats a massive pain in the ass and person X might be unavailable.
Someone in my family attached my Windows 8 Pro Retail key to their MS account/phone verify.
How can I undo this? Is this a better question for MS offical forum?
yea thats what i gathered from the wikipedia page. Still kinda spurised no one has made this already. It seems like a fairly useful and typical need in the IT world
alright well I'll have to keep note of this. I don't know any coding or powershell but when I have time I will look into this unless someone does this before me.
did a search "scanning creating copies" and got nothing so I'll look more when I got time thanks.
These ~2TB containers are...
I am in the process of creating 2TB/1.xTB VC containers with 3 cascading encryptions with 0 to many key files and PIMs for my SnapRAID so I can protect my data from drive loss and corruption while having encryption levels that would require quantom computers to break. (they will eventually...
so do I only cover the 3rd pin or can i cover the first 3? It doesnt seem to work with the kapton tap

So i can buy those SAS drives and plug and play? If so I never knew that lol
it looks like this inside case
these dropped to 317 o_O...
that would to be a pain to put those into the backplane then the drives would justg be floating around my desk with no cooling whgich would be a bad idea considering they will be writing/reading for 7 straight days. I'll just wait for tape. I only need to use these for a few days
I will do the tape thing first since there is no way to remove 3.3v power on my norco and i dont want to remove pins for warranty reasons.
I am starting to debate on pulling out my Norco 4220 and getting another intel SAS expander and starting to Stripe all my drives for 2x6TB logical drives to...
that safe?
I did 2 layers of scotch take on the first 3 pins (+3.3v) and still wont work. I'll just have to wait til tomorrow for the tape. Couldnt find 35 dollars worth of same day stuff so its on 2 day shipping.

yea i just say a youtuibe video and was goping to buy this
i am using them in a norco 4224 and opening case is not a simple solution. is there a none destructive way to block it on disks? also what a prick design
I have 4 white labled ones that worked when I first got them and have been powered off for like the last 2 months. I went to plug them into my server to use them temporarily and I cant seem to get them to be seen by HDsentinel or disk manager.
Any advice? Did they die in the last 2 months or am...
I use 9211 and intel expander. The backplanes are SAS to SATA
I have 6TBs so was hoping to find 12TB so I could turn my 6TBs into 2x6TB into striped logical drives. I run Snapraid FYI 5 pairy 9-10 DATA
6TB parity abd 2x3TB/6TB data. I assume you get the idea
if you come across 12TB+ 7200 RPM SATAs let me know I could use them if its a good deal
I have a Norco 4224 so its SATA and not SAS sadly. Unless can you easily switch it out?
just a friendly update. My eaton seems to be working great. I haven't touched it and haven't seen any issues. Just working on moving as much as I can to the 240v.
Running 20@ load at ideal I think and still need to move a few items over and at 89% efficiency.
When I get a chance I will post...
UPDATE: Okay I think I found it but can anyone confirm I am buying the right thing? I would just get the 1 foot one to save 2 bucks and keep my desk clean. Does anyone know of a cheaper price...
wtf 6000VA...you need to install some low guage wires (thick). I would feel safe using a 2Kva UPS but what was the power draw for a recharge on that 6Kva?? o_O I assume at least 700 or 800 watts if not more! Now that is scary hahaha
My dream is to get a 5th wheel trailer and travel around the...
read data is part of SMART. Smart also tells you write amplification IIRC(at least on previous drives it did but not sure on current drive. I haven't bothered to look). HDSentiel is what I use and it gives tons of stats.
I haven't read up on this but was super curious on how the fuck that happened? Like how does 13 mins destroy a whole quarter of production? Also if power outage can do that why the hell aren't you prepared for that? I have been to Japan 3 times and their power grid is trash for several reasons...
120v is 120v. It is 3 prong and any 120v 3 prong outlet will work. It won't pull more than 15amp unless you put a high load plus recharge. You are being paranoid. Also most houses today have 20 amp breakers. At least my house and previous ones all came with 20 amp breaks for standard outlets. If...
yea see my update. I consider this a long term ionvestment and best to buy a sold item iof you cna afford it. I used cheap stuff for ages because i couldnt afford a nice thing and found this thread and snagged an awesome deal :D
