It turns out OS X doesn't support 4k @ 60 hertz through HDMI. I tried using USB-C to hook up the monitor, but that didn't seem to work for A/V signal. It only worked for firmware updates. Should I use a display port cable (and USB-C adapter) to my Macbook Pro? Would that resolve the 60 hertz...
