what is your RAM speed? I can run DOCP with my PC4000 ram, but I do have issues when running that high due to the IMC not being able to handle that speed. I'm rock solid at 3800mhz CL16 though.
I have a 5950x with random stutters. I had a Logitech MX Master 1 mouse plugged into a front USB port on my case. During a moment needed to recharge my mouse, I plugged in a normal USB mouse into the rear USB ports and have not experienced the issue since. I concur that it could very well be...
I have a 500gb Western Digital SN850 that typically runs pretty hot (around 50-60c). I noticed once I swapped it in that I would get random instances where it would not detect the SSD after a reboot, which is an issue several people are experiencing. I ended up installing this...
Be weary on how Amazon ships it... I received mine like this. After alot of complaining, I was able to get $80+ off for the damage. Thankfully no damage to the actual CPU.
This deal looks decent:

Looks like it comes with a cooler. Your existing Power Supply should be adequate to power this along with...
You can imagine how happy I was to see a bubble envelope used for my 5950x. Needless to say, I kept the CPU, but complained alot to the CSR's for an $85 refund. They also rejected my feedback after telling buyers to be weary since Amazon likes to send CPU's in bubble envelopes.
Here's a shot from my initial run with my 5950x on an Asus x570-i, Gskill 16gb 3200mhz cl14, Arctic Cooling 280mm AIO. I believe this was with PBO enabled.
I had the black screen flashing (especially while in the BIOS). Fixed it by changing from a Display Port cable to HDMI. Not a problem since. To note: I'm not a huge gamer at all, but just like having the nice hardware.
Loved my Powercolor 9800se that was able to be modded to a Pro! Ohhhh the days!. Had a mobile AMD Barton 2500xp overclocked running this on an Asus A7N8X board. <3'd that setup!
<3 my 3800x. Can hit all core 4.5ghz with 1.35 vcore, but opted to leave it on 1.35 vcore and let the motherboard/processor run at whatever speed it wants. Disabled PBO, which keeps it from ramping up to 1.5vcore. This is on an Asus X570i, and a Sapphire 5700XT. I couldn't be happier :D
85c is hot to me. I have a 3800x and turned off PBO in the BIOS. I can boost to 4.6ghz single core and max temps are high 60's to low 70's. Although I'm watercooled, but am running a tiny ITX case with an Asus X570-i and an X5700XT, all off a single 120mm fan. If I were you, I'd reapply...
Have you tried removing the heatsink and reapplying the thermal paste? Sounds like some improvements can be made with the temps. Is the case well ventilated? Is there an overclock? What voltage is the CPU seeing in the BIOS? Is he using PBO? (PBO tends to overvolt things, especially with...
I've actually been a member here since early 2000's, but lost my password while going to school. I'm more of a lurker than a poster, and typically sell my stuff locally. No worries though as I'd be hesitant as well.
^^^ I've read with these 5700's you have to go into the BIOS and tell it to use PCI-e 3.0 if you do not currently have a PCI-e 4.0 motherboard, otherwise you can get stuttering/bsod's. I do not know for sure as I do not have one though
Who fucking cares?!?! Does his opinion impact you? No? Then shut the fuck up and let's get back on topic. Jeezus Christ the millennial vibe is strong here!
not sure why he doesn't just open task manager while gaming and see what the RAM utilization is. Prolly a moot point now, since it seems he's given up. Wasn't much of a thread as he really didn't seem to want to resolve the issue. Maybe the best thing to do is to sell everything like he...
If I were you, I'd wait until Zen2 to see if it's worth staying on the AM4 platform, or moving to the Intel platform. It all boils down to if you want to spend your $$ now, or later.
Not sure why your default ram voltage is 1.2v, I was under the impression 3200mhz ram was 1.35v default. For shits and giggles, you should raise to 1.35v and see if you still get the lock-ups.
So I downloaded your manual and nowhere in the manual is 'nvme' explicity mentioned. You do realize the m.2 slot comes in 2 flavors, right? (NVME and SATA). Thinking you have an NVME drive which your motherboard doesn't support.
Is the machine going to sleep, causing it to go offline? Also open Device Manager and ensure your nic and USB ports are not being suspended due to inactivity. I'm suspecting sleep/hibernate issues, so you could also disable hibernation and edit your power settings to keep things from powering...
Looks like it's a Corsair Vengenace 2x8gb (16gb total) kit with Hynix ram chips. Do a search to see what the default timings are and the default voltage.
I was looking in your board manual and found this blurp under the 'Easy RAID Installer' header.
"Easy RAID Installer helps you to copy the RAID driver from the support CD to your USB storage device. After copying the drivers please change the SATA mode to RAID, then you can start installing...
What does your Device Manager have under sound? Do you have 32-bit or 64-bit Win 10?
I'd try this:
Unplug any speakers
Reboot and go into BIOS
Reenable sound in BIOS
Reboot and allow Windows to load
Download and install latest sound drivers from Asus...
