Sabrent Tech support says that once you flash you cannot go back. I take this to mean they aren't distributing the old firmware, as I know of no technical reason why you cannot flash the old FW over the new.

I'm not sure I'm lucky enough to get a 2015 piece of hardware that didn't get the FW update in 2016... but I may give that a try.

This tear down has me excited. I can't wait to see the testing. Visually inspecting it, it ticks the major boxes; flow direction and coverage of IHS with fins. You would think this would be a no-duh for the block engineers, but given the number of poorly designed blocks for TR4, guess not.
