Sabrent Tech support says that once you flash you cannot go back. I take this to mean they aren't distributing the old firmware, as I know of no technical reason why you cannot flash the old FW over the new.
First off, thanks for your help, I really appreciate your time.
Yeah, I was afraid of something like that. I contacted Sabrent support but I'm not holding my breath. (Hoping they have a tool that will let me downgrade the firmware). I will try the clone if that doesn't pan out. I'm unsure how...
Unfortunately, while I saved the data on the one drive. I didn't off the other before I firmware flashed. Do you think putting the disk into an older computer would help? I still have a Vista box kicking around. Or even my current Win10 box? I'm still running on ye-old timey x58. I'm guessing...
Well it turns out the firmware needed updated. However, after update, I now have no devices that can read the second backup drive. So... any advice? Help? Please?
So I have an interesting puzzler, and I was hoping someone could shed some light on to what is happening here.
The components used in this story are:
1) A WD40EFRX (Western Digital 4TB Red drive)
2) A Second WD40EFRX (Western Digital 4TB Red drive)
3) A drive sled (Sabrent...
I can try contacting a moderator I'm re-reading all the forum rules to make sure it isn't a violation. In the mean time, if I can make another ask, just the dimensions of the glass panel, without concern of where the mounts go? If you can't pull it off without a lot of work that is totally okay...
Huge thanks for the pic dump, you've given me answers I couldn't get on at least 4 different modding forums I looked on, AND the corsair forum. I would be interested in getting my hands on it, if shipping isn't a huge hassle. I'm in the USA. How do we set this up?
Just glue? I've been scouring the internet for more than a week for this answer, this is very anticlimactic.
Is it just a glass panel, or are there attached assembly pieces that you also have to replace?
If you still have it handy, the LxHxW of the panel would be greatly appreciated.
It...
Can anyone comment at all on how the front tempered glass panel is attached? I have an idea for a backlit acrylic plate I would like to use in it's place, but I'm unsure if this is feasible. I know they sell replacement glass for the front panel, but I haven't seen anything about how it would be...
This tear down has me excited. I can't wait to see the testing. Visually inspecting it, it ticks the major boxes; flow direction and coverage of IHS with fins. You would think this would be a no-duh for the block engineers, but given the number of poorly designed blocks for TR4, guess not.
