I haven't had anything remotely like this with my monitor, this could be GPU issue as well as the CODEC that the cloud video is transcoded too, play these on another monitor and compare and contrast to isolate the issue....
$447 is a STEAL for this monitor....no flicker on my model whatsoever...in fact no issues at all, I would buy this again in a heartbeat at what I paid, and that was more than $447!!
Agreed, a great panel at an even better price, I have zero regrets about the purchase and would actually have paid more for it and been happy so LG made a winner in the 43UD79B, these posts about it's shortcomings are not issues I've experienced and I do 3D and editing all day for a few months...
I love this LG a few months in now even....the size seems REALLY big at first but you will get used to it and then wonder how you could have used tiny monitors before...I implored anyone on the fence to just jump on this awhile ago so happy to see a few have and they will be rewarded with a...
43UD78T is international version item so it may have Korean on remote and that NewEgg promotion for $550 is something I wouldn't pass up if your looking for an amazing 43' monitor...nothing comes close at that price! Expires at

Thanks christal, I was pretty close...you had Red at 51 on a previous post though? also when you say brightness at 20% I assume you mean 20 and for me that feels really low...I prefer 50 or at least that's what I got used to but won't that throw off the 6500K calibration? Overall I'm really...
This video has 100% sRGB with a Spyder 5 at 2:45 in:
Can someone that has a sRGB Calibrated LG share their settings.... I have Brightness 54, Contrast 70 and Red 50, Green 34, and Blue 9 with Mode 2 Gamma and want to see how close I am...Thanks!
Thanks for explaining that...I need to get proper cable to do firmware update, I have no flickering now on PWM test so I'm wondering if I should even update, any other noticeable changes with the update?
No problem, I've never used an LG and have no affiliation other than owning this monitor but I joined this forum just for the purpose of praising the 43ud79, it's the best monitor I've ever owned and coming from a 24 inch, then a 30 inch and now this 43 inch 4K, it is the perfect size /...
Yes: recently bought, Yes: LG Driver installed, and I think the GPU may be the issue for "others", get recent Nvidia GPU (9 or 10 series) use INCLUDED Displayport cable and set for 10-bit, full range, 32-bit RGB in Nvidia Contol panel...if all that is done correctly then no problems...
From my experience with this monitor, I've had zero-flickering, but to answer your question you can set brightness to 100% and use Nvidia Control panel to adjust brightness up and down, I am using Brightness 54,
Contrast 70, RGB 50 34 9 and find this setting good for multi-purpose: work,films...
You can try a 15 Ft DP cable that supports the 1.2 protocol, obviously the one you have if it's 1.1 won't support 4K and audio...I did read somewhere that the monitor will work best with the supplied cables so maybe there is something to that or just marketing...you won't know until you try and...
The speakers on the 43UD79-B are very good and IMO much better than a cheap set of computer speakers....as for the Acer ET430k after looking at the info available I see no mention of it having HDR and it seems to suffer from image retention as well, the LG is not much more $$, skline00 can you...
A big YES, I've had the 43UD79-B for just over a month and can't complain about anything, I do 3D w/ Maya, editing w/ Premiere and it's an incredible monitor! The vanishing of ethan carter in 4K is amazing...that being said the lack of HDR maybe a deal killer for some so if that is the case the...
