    DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

Well, you can't rush art, and the HSLP-48 is Dondan's work. It will exist when it can. It's not like he's resting on his laurels, and even if he was, he deserves the break lol. The good coolers for the A4 SFX that exist today are well-documented. I for one am glad that Dondan has proposed this...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I put my L9i in and I love it. It might not be the "best" cooler, but it is very simple to install, easily available, cheap, pretty much silent. it gets you 80% of the way there with minimal effort, so it was the preferred choice for me.

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I agree that the cables are long relative to the DAN A4. In CeresPK's build a few pages back (and mine that was inspired by it) you will see that we both chose to leave the drive tray in. I used the drive tray for liberal cable routing opportunity. I posted pics of my front and back using the...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I also feel like non-stock cables are almost a requirement in DAN A4. I also used the Corsair premium SF bundle, and they were so, so easier to work with than stock, and while they were not crazy short, they had enough length to route them through convenient areas. CableMods can go down to 150mm...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Perhaps. I am idling at 32 C on the CPU, 69 Fahrenheit (20 C) ambient, and I even currently have a space heater on and pointed at my feet/PC case. The PSU fan is not spinning. I wonder if there's a way to measure PSU temp?

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

I'm curious, do you encounter that situation under day-to-day situations? I have a 4770K and a 1080 Ti. Most of the time the fan is not spinning. I have ran Furmark on it for a bit and the fan did not even spin. After leaving it running for a while, the fan did spin. I assume if I'm gaming for...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Done! I don't have a fancy lightbox so I hope this will do. Cable work was a little tough but performance is great. Also, I found out I could really use a 20-pin USB3 header extension... I have already taken it to one LAN, the size is so great. ASUS Z87i Deluxe Intel i7-4770K Stock clock...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Putting my build together this weekend - finally! I'm excited. I'm using no bottom fan, for now. If I can get away with that I'll keep it - I like the look of it with the cage in to hide PSU cables. I'm using Intel stock cooler for now... It doesn't feel good, but I haven't settled on a cooler...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

For those who have already built in their DAN A4, does the the 92mm case fan in the lower mounting point help temperatures significantly ? I was planning on using it for a fan but now I think I would prefer to leave the drive bracket there for cable management. This would leave just the CPU fan...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Looks great. It looks like he has used the hard drive bracket as a cable management solution. Are there any clearer shots of his cable routing? It looks like he used longer cables than most in order to route them a specific way. I would like to see some more looks at cable management in DAN A4...

Wallye Tactik Duffle for SFF carry (M1, A4, SG13, laptop + eGPU)

Thank you for your work on this wahaha360. I can only imagine how difficult a project like this is. With the recent SFF spotlight I hope you find a good audience with this! It deserves it IMO. Sorry to hear that it hasn't been straightforward yet. When I travel to see my gamer friends (in town...

Wallye Tactik Duffle for SFF carry (M1, A4, SG13, laptop + eGPU)

I think to answer that, it really depends on your use case. Personally, I think carrying around a full desktop computer is inherently dorky. Lol. And so for that reason, I think I feel like having an obviously "technical" bag (V1), like a camera bag, seems to be more appropriate. V2 looks more...

Wallye Tactik Duffle for SFF carry (M1, A4, SG13, laptop + eGPU)

Interesting ideas with the different carrying methods. Will backpack straps come standard? I assume the keyboard bag is optional? is there a natural built-in pocket for a keyboard? Looks like the general design has progressed from being a "tactical" carrying case that looks technical in nature...

DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

For everyone putting their builds together - how is the "turbulence" noise for CPU coolers whose fan is immediately behind the sidepanel (such as the LP35 + fan, NH-L9i)? It's my understanding that Dan's HSLP-48 was designed with the fan *under* the heatsink to minimize this turbulence noise. I...
