Been building PCs since the mid-late 80s. Ten year College program for a double BS - EE/CS putting myself through working crap jobs. Graduated to wonderful Corporate America (large and small) doing Applicaton/SysAdmin stuff, run mostly by back stabbing stooges with delusions of Grandeur.

On Windows 11 23H2, you may need to reset the Windows Security app to resolve performance issues, and in this guide, I will outline the steps to complete this task. If you notice a degradation in CPU...
After playing for a few months with the 7900x CPU. the most stable for me (with an overclock for best performance) is the Asus AI overclock and PB set to 0. EXPO2 profile and of course the latest BIOS. That's it.
I'm using this in my new rig. Works fine.. there may be newer, better but at the time (6/23) it was the fastest 64GB DDR5 Kit from G.Skill. I've always used the MEMORY CONFIGURATOR to find G.Skill RAM.
G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo Series (AMD Expo) DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 6000MT/s CL30-40-40-96...

"Hey, I have a similar build as you and experienced a the same issue.
The games I was having this problem in were Battlefield 2042 and Dead Space. As you mentioned, I would watch my GPU LED's shut off, the CPU debug light...
AMD CPUs tjmax is 95 degrees C and can run at that temp all day long. Potential issue? Maybe. Easily remedied by tuning the bios with a temp cap that is lower.
I've done the aftermarket external and it trashed my drive on like the 2nd use. Now, fk the usb garbage enclosure junk. I just plug it straight up to sata.
These external drives have a junk usb interface to connect to the internal HD. Strip it down and see if you can use the HD stand-alone. It says USB3 compatable but try a usb 2 port if you have one. try the usb-c if you have a port.
Most boards are made to overclock - especially the x570. Either select a board with a better VRM cooling solution or just have a fan blowing across the VRMs. Personally, I think you are obsessing too much over VRM temps.
If you want to get serious - then the asus rog x570 crosshair has water...
Less noise was my target.. Air cooled ie. durability, easy to install and no maintenance relatively speaking. Cost was not a factor for me.
About to get those offset bars ordered and installed....
Seriously?
Guess that means everyone I meet is a rock.
Every friggin release it gets harder and harder to find old interfaces that have the advanced features. And those are now getting stripped out one by one.
I can kill a linux terminal.. CMD.. ugh. like google a powershell command now.
🙄
I'm an EE and heat dissipated is related (depends on) to the resistance of the circuitry and the current delivered. It's not the same thing.
Power delivered is simple P = IV. Power DISSIPATED (as heat) is } = I^2 * R.
Is RT worth that kind of money for you? It's really that simple. Only you know if your are going to use the nvidia features and weigh the added cost to benefit.
