DAN C4-SFX: The smallest water cooling case in the world

Ah yeah crap. Too tall. Hmmmmm well I mean worst case you mount the pump outside the case but I do like the look of that Eiswolf...I suppose mounting point for a DDC pump is one more thing to consider in the design since there's a significant number of people planning on doing a custom loop in...

DAN C4-SFX: The smallest water cooling case in the world

Well as far as the few people who selected air cooling, I would think that the majority of people who aren't water cooling would go with your A4 case - no need for the larger size to allow for non-existent water cooling parts right? Custom vs AIO - a DDC pump really doesn't take up a ton of...

DAN C4-SFX: The smallest water cooling case in the world

My "slim" radiator is still 30mm thick. I bought the Black Ice GTS 240. And I'm using 25mm fans in it. That being said, I'm one of the few who has a no-reservoir M1 and I'm getting some pretty fantastic temps from the radiator / fan combo cooling both the GPU and CPU. One radiator, 2 fans...

DAN C4-SFX: The smallest water cooling case in the world

Having all the air flow downward doesn't make much sense to me - exhausting everything through the top makes far more sense. Heat convection for one thing, and for another since there's no direction to control the exhaust at the bottom, as that warm air rises all around the case some of it will...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Yeah if you're just posting a peak of 80 during stress testing I get that, but for instance just a few posts up someone's hitting 80 while gaming, at an 80% CPU load. That's waaaaaaay too hot in my opinion.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I'm just sitting over here like O_o at everyone's "normal" temps. 80 degrees?! http://www.buildcomputers.net/cpu-temperature.html According to google and various sites the CPU should be between 45-65, and anything over 65-70 is damaging.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

It takes about an hour if you're creative with it. The NCase is small enough it's pretty easy to do. If you have an AIO though...I don't know how you'd bleed it. They're not designed to be opened up or anything from my understanding.

    Logitech G502 vs. G602

You may find this video interesting. I ended up getting a G502 (wired), but that was more because it was on sale for cheaper than the wireless options + the mat isn't available yet. I may well switch to a 702 + power mat in the near future.

Just for the filling and whatnot / leak testing / etc yeah that's what I ended up doing.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

On a somewhat related note though - MAN it was a pain in the butt to get all the tubing right. The routing I'd initially envisioned did not work out thanks to the Apogee Drive II having its outlet significantly lower than a normal CPU waterblock would, which I neglected to take into account...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

It's pretty quiet. The fans DO idle at 800 much of the time, but I can definitely hear them spin up under load while gaming IF I'm listening for it. I'm not entirely sure that part of the HWmonitor is accurate, because even right now I just finished some heavy gaming and heard them spin up but...

Help with leak testing - pump not coming on?

Got it. Molex connector was the culprit - loose pin. Multimeter showed voltage just fine, found the loose pin, used tweezers to tease it out a bit more and then push it in for a solid connection. Filled everything nicely although there's a couple very stubborn small bubbles that are stuck...

Help with leak testing - pump not coming on?

Yes, it does. The 4 pin PWM plug people said not to plug in, so I unplugged it. The 2 pin molex has been plugged in the whole time. I've tried the 4 pin PWM plug in all 3 motherboard slots with the same null result. Similarly, tried another plug on the molex cable and got the same result.

Help with leak testing - pump not coming on?

The 24-pin is not colored - just all black. Same with the jumper I'm using. All black. The Apogee Drive II is plugged into the PSU but while it has a 4-pin plug, there's actually only 2 wires going to it. The Corsair SF600 does indeed have a zero RPM fan mode. Heading to work, will...

Help with leak testing - pump not coming on?

I can see its fan start to spin when it clicks, but it quickly stops. I figured it was just because when it's not under load the fan isn't supposed to come on anyway.

Help with leak testing - pump not coming on?

Don't have another PSU to try...bought everything new, first PC I've build in about 4 years. Only had my laptop since about 2012, 2013.

Help with leak testing - pump not coming on?

So I just finished routing everything for my first custom loop. Never done water cooling before. I have paper towels stuffed around key points, all lines are connected, hard drives and GPU power disconnected. I'm wondering if I have something wrong though - I plugged the PSU into the wall, and...

    Logitech G502 vs. G602

Apologies for the necro, but thanks. Yeah it was a bit eerie seeing your post and the mat is coming out this month. Now I have to ask though - how the heck are you wearing out the side buttons that quickly? My old Logitech MX510 took 3-4 years of WoW daily abuse and aside from the finish...

    Logitech G502 vs. G602

So I found this thread while hunting for a new mouse and eyeballing this exact comparison (502 vs 602) in addition to 502 vs 403/703. I just wanted to quote this post and ask if you've ordered Logitech's charging mat yet lol. http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/powerplay-wireless-charging

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

So I finally have all my parts. Got the GPU today and installed the heat killer 4 waterblock on it - it's sexy! Problem though - the 90 degree fittings I got (swiftechs) are reeeeeeaaaally tight they don't leave me much room for the radiator. I have to angle it to get it in and then it barely...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I'm planning on only using the 2 radiator fans in my rig...we'll see how that works out, but I don't think it'll need much more. Watercooled GPU, CPU, and the fans will be blowing right through the radiator onto the RAM. If I keep tubing minimal for best airflow then it should be a clean side...

What cables / lengths did you use? Looks like you have near-identical numbers of components... 1x SSD 1x Motherboard 2x Fans (PWM I assume?) 1x GPU Only additional thing I'll be adding is a pump. Incidentally, how are you guys wiring up your pumps and fans so that they're all on the PWM...

WTF? Anyone who's done watercooling, can you advise on the condition of this radiator? Brand new GTS 240, arrived today, factory seals on the box were intact, box itself was in perfect condition with no signs of moisture, but when I opened it up, this is what I saw - straight rust:

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Yes. If anything they're excessively long for me as mine are in the opposite bottom right corner from yours. But they're designed so you can run them around the back of the motherboard and up to that top corner. You should be fine. If you're worried though apparently ASRock just game out...

Ordered the GTS 240, thanks again for the links and recommendation! Got the 2x Noiseblocker Eloop 800-1500 rpm PWM fans too, with custom sleeving, and ordered a Heatkiller GPU block + backplate while I was at it. Last things I need to get are the GPU itself, Swiftech pump/CPU block combo...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks, gonna order one today then. As for the reservoir - I was basically thinking my loop would go like this (keeping in mind the pump is integrated into the CPU block): CPU out >> GPU in >> GPU out >> Radiator in >> Radiator out >> CPU in. Minimal hoses and fittings, reservoir is basically...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Nice! Which HWLs are those though? Apparently they have the Nemesis GTS 240, and the Black Ice GTS 240 (which is the gen 2). The gen 2 has a 30+ FPI, the gen 1 only has like 16. I contacted HWL and asked and they said they discontinued the Gen 2 w/ 30 FPI for consumer usage, but if I really...

Bad Imgur link. Yeah I already ordered the EK PE 240. Haven't ordered the fans yet but I'm going with Noiseblocker 120x25s. I don't see how only using them as intakes would make a difference if it's touching? Did you use low profile fittings? I did look at the HWL ones but then you're doing...

PERFECT pic dude thanks. So basically instead of the slim rad and slim fans though...I'm going with normal sized 40mm thick rad (it's actually only 38) and 25mm fans. Like this guy here: So I think it'll come riiiiiiight up to the fan, but that's it....and I don't see any particular...

Also looks like there's about 20 mm from the tip of the fitting socket to the top of the heatsink on it, so about 23.5mm total for a 90 degree fitting. Koolance makes some low profile 90 degree swivel fittings that are 20mm high, so it'll be tight but doable - I think.

Hey, for all you custom loop watercooling people in this thread....what do you think about this? Swiftech Apogee Drive II It's 61.5mm tall. NCase's website says CPU coolers up to 130mm tall can be used WITH bracket, NO fan. Since there will be a 240mm rad + 25mm fan in the way, with the EK...
