I've just made another test run with the NVMe. 20min Prime with a relatively low ambient temperatur of 18-19C. Temp read with HWiNFO64 Hardware: Samsung 960 PRO 500GB (no cooler), mobo Gigabyte, 1600x with Noctua L9a (silent mode) idle at start 36C max during prime 60C max after prime 67C 10min...

I don't know what you are doing. But my 960 EVO has 57C at idle (rear of the MB, case closed). 5min after shutting downing hours (shame on me :p) of The Witcher 3.

I used a crimping tool for all cables. But with the SF450 PSU you have 5 pins with double crimped cables (4x sense wire, 1x double ground for the GPU). I tried crimping two cables in one connector pin, but the results didnt look safe, i.e. the wings of the pins didn't fully enclose both cables...

I've tried making my own custom cables. Must admit it's far from perfect, some cables proofed to long in spite of measuring and my soldering-skills (first-timer) could be better, but for my first time I'm quite satisfied. The biggest problem weer the 2 cables in 1 crimp. Crimping two in one...

I'm was also searching for a place to get the right connectors for custom made cables. I ended up searching the product number of the right connector on Molex (you can sort by number of circuits) and will probably try to order on Mouser this weekend. Perhaps i'll even get the cables there. I'll...

While I admire the creativity, I really dislike the black hole in the front. Perhaps it would be nice to fill it with some kind of aluminium powder filled epoxy resin. Only problem is that it would make future changes near impossible. Edit: or cnc cut an aluminium plate fitting the hole, which...

The cooler alone has a height of 48mm (1.9inch). Thus its seems too big for the case.

Thats a pity. Because the C7 seems to have a bit more cooling power. But reading this i'll probably go with the noctua. I want as less noise as possible at idle. Don't really mind it while gaming.

I've seen many posts on VLP RAM modules. Yesterday i saw that the cryorig c7 has 32mm height without fan. While standard DDR4 RAM has 31.2mm. Am I right in the assumption that normal DDR4 RAM without heatspreader, like the g-skill fortis for example, will not rise above the c7? Thus a 140x15mm...
