I would suggest once you get this off is to use a bit H2.0 bit with a screwdriver. The included hex key was over tightening the screws for me and led to one of mine almost stripping. Now that I use a screwdriver I haven't had any issues.

Buildzoid has done a PCB breakdown of the ASRock Fatal1ty AB350, which is very similar to the X370 board.

So I tried to overclocking my system today. I was able to dial in a 3.6GHz @ 1.2V on my Ryzen 1700. Here is a spreadsheet with benchmarks, temps and settings. (Ambient Temp is 24C and CPU temps were recorded with HWMonitor.)

It could fit under the vertical stand, but not with the feet that comes with the case for horizontal. You would have to get custom feet to prop it up or just place it on top.

I second this. If you want a good external this is the one I use: http://www.lg.com/us/burners-drives/lg-WP50NB40-external-blu-ray-dvd-drive

Cleaned up my desk and rearranged it a bit to make it sort of photo worthy. (Top Left is my work laptop, Left is my personal laptop that I mostly use to rip my BluRay collection to my Plex Server.)

Looking into my case it doesn't look like there is room for it. Even if there was you would be right against the GPU cooling plastic. You would be better off with 40mm fans on top if you wanted additional airflow in the GPU chamber.

There was no difference with it on or off with the furry donut of death maxing out my GPU. Both runs during a 5 min span the FPS averaged between 91 and 92 FPS and ran at 88C. So I just left it out seeing as it isn't doing anything. As I was going into my build to remove the weather sealing...

3/8" Wide and 7/16" Tall. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BQL29G/ I will probably just remove it. It was something I was testing, but when it comes to all the PSU cables and the PCIe riser I don't think much air from the CPU chamber is coming up to the GPU chamber. I will test this out...

So, I finally got the rest of my parts in today and managed to finish up my Sentry. I have to say I'm pretty happy with the results. Below are photos of the build and the specs: Specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 1700 CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5 MOBO: ASRock Fatal1ty x370...

Got mine last Thursday. (2nd batch of Sentry's, 1st batch of white Sentry's. Sentry #88, Order #422.) I have all my parts in it, however I'm still waiting on CableMod PSU cables and my Noctua AM4 bracket. I will create a write up and have some pictures once I get everything in. I'm also waiting...

Welcome to the party. Last I heard was on May 29th "Sent from Poland 2017-05-29 09:03 WER Pruszcz Gd." and I too live on the east coast. Just be patient. There is nothing they can do.

I'm getting this in next week with the G.Skill 3200 set and Ryzen 1700. I will post here once I get it all.

I was about to say... I sure hope so as I already ordered it and they make the fastest Ryzen RAM right now. If it doesn't you can always replace the heat spreader.

Did you add those resistors on to the R+, G+, and B+ or did you use those resistors in replacement of the 1k Ohm resistors? I want to double check before I send this out to get printed for my Sentry. =D

SaperPL ZombiPL (Order ID 422 - First shipment of white cases, coming up on to 7 weeks.) So I contacted my local customs office today with no real help from them. They told me to contact USPS and the shipper. So I contacted USPS and according to them the package hasn't left Poland and that the...

It's not likely that a riser would kill a PCI-E port, due to the design of PCI-E. The first set of pins before the spacer is all power and all the data pins are on the other side. The likely hood of shorting something out (Ex +12v to a data line) is highly unlikely.

Pull out the parts and assemble it on the Motherboard box. ALWAYS assemble your PC on the motherboard box first before putting it in the case to make sure everything is working. This will tell you if it's the riser.

Thanks for the update. It's been 6 weeks now since it shipped (the first batch of white cases) and haven't seen any updates on Poczta Polska or USPS. I'll give my local customs here in Raleigh, NC a call and see if I can get any answers. Do you know if there is any information I may need? Any...

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

That is awesome! That is exactly what I was thinking. So it seems like pulling in air is probably the best thing I can do and let the holes on the case work as exhaust. These tunnels though would assure that hot air won't be recirculated causing heating issues. I don't have a 3D printer nor have...

Even with just the front off the temps are pretty close to the sides off. I don't think it's an accurate representation of what I'll get with air filters with the sentry. With the Corsair I'm removing all resistant by removing the wire mesh and air filter, whereas the sentry would still have the...

Out of curiosity I ran some tests on my current system: Corsair 380T (140mm intake in the front, and 120mm exhaust in the back) Intel Core i7 4790k Noctua NH-L9i Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Reference Unfortunately there is no way for me to just remove the air filters on the 380T, but I have to...

So the reason I'm thinking of exhaust with the CPU Cooler is because if you intake with the CPU Cooler the hot air then hits the ram and VRM on the motherboard. (Due to the AM4 Bracket you can only arrange the fins of the heatsink towards these things.) If I can stick two of those Noctua 40mm...

SENTRY: Console-sized gaming PC case project

As I wait for my case to come in I've been thinking about the airflow of the case. I'm going to be keeping mine in a vertical position, so my idea is to intake from the top and bottom and to exhaust from the sides. A few questions to people who already have the case: Has anyone tried flipping...
