I don't know what that is. I'll have to google it. Do you have any monitor suggestions to add to the LG one you gave or is that GN model basically the best in that price range?

This one looks very good and pretty much exactly what I want. It also gets very good reviews. Amazon has it listed for $429 USD so it fits in my desired budget.
The reviews on this thing are pretty...
Took a look at current posts and the most recent looked to be back in September.
I'm going to be building/buying a brand new computer next month and I'm looking for 2 brand new monitors to pair it with. Right now my setup isn't matching and one of them has this weird blinking issue and it's...
Take a look at Event Viewer and see if there are read/write errors in the system log.
Run a chkdsk to check the HDD
Run memtest86 to check RAM
Could be a CPU that is starting to fail but not causing BSODs.
Could be a dying CMOS battery causing the mobo to behave erratically.
I've been building since I was 14 and I'm 35 now. The only times I haven't built was during my service in the Navy. I had 2 gaming laptops throughout the 8 years I served and built a desktop the summer of 2013 before I got out that November.
I started working for a company doing electrical...
Yea but I won't buy dell. They typically skimp on stuff. Sure it has a 3080 and top end cpu but what about the mobo, ram and psu? What vendors are they using for those? That's the stuff I care about. If I'm spending $3,000 usd on a new computer, I don't want it filled with cheap off brand stuff...
I found a thread where this was discussed 4 months ago so I'm posting a new one. My bad if there is a more current thread out there.
Right now I game on a MSI laptop I bought in 2017. I want to build a desktop again. I only got the laptop because I was traveling a lot for work but that is no...
I don't mean to hijack the thread but you've helped me before with an AMD build. What is the best board to get that doesn't require a BIOS flash to support a 3700x?
I will also be using a Sound Blaster card for the quad dac to power my DT 770 pro headphones since they are 250ohm headphones. If...
The GPU in my current laptop is just a GTX 1080. I believe it's a desktop variant because the desktop GTX 1080 drivers from Nvidia work for it. In fact, I have desktop drivers installed for the current version.
What GPU would be a major upgrade compared to it that isn't a 2080ti? Is the 2060 or...
My only concern with going the AMD route is their drivers are usually buggy as heck compared to Intel or Nvidia. I've avoided them for years due to that and the fact that they never truly competed with Nvidia and Intel. They always seemed one step behind.
All great advice. Thank you.
It is going to be a few months to save the money for a new build. Probably looking at July or August time frame. I really want something that is going to be a night and day experience compared to this gaming laptop.
Don't get me wrong though. This laptop has been...
Thank you for such an amazing reply. The last time I built an AMD system was back during the FX CPU line. I built a computer for a friend. I think it was the FX 6300.

Good day all!
