New and Improved Watercooling Sticky - Post Your Systems Here

No addtional biocide required, the glycol prevents anything no worries. After years of use, I highly recommend it, I have only this coolent in my loops, all my water blocks look inside like day one, so like brand new. Cheers

New and Improved Watercooling Sticky - Post Your Systems Here

After one year of use, I had almost zero water lose, my build has a total 8m of soft tubing. I only use to 100% Aqua Computer Double Protect Clear in my loop. Cheers

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Great build :) Love the Watercool Heatkiller blocks too, I will update my Ncase build soon too with that ALC PCI slot solution, currently I use this method with panel mount and cheap ALC QDCs but they are crappy so I will replace them: I use the CPC NS6 series for quick disconnects, those CPC...

Rethinking my Ncase M1 WC build to just use a big external 9x120mm radiator (MO-RA3) Pros/Cons?

Ncase M1 + external MO-RA3 420 radiator best combination ever 😍 Stunning cooling perfomance, full silent operation, never need to upgrade cooling solution any time in future.

What Mouse and Keyboard Are You Using Right Now?

Best mouse pad I ever had so far, since 2001 I had so many different mouse pads from glass, hybrid, cloth, metal, plastic and so on but from factor "control" the best mouse pad period IMHO, it's not the fasted, but the most accurate, that's more important for me. It's the Artisan FX Hien L MID.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Multitasking and other apps which have benefit of more cores go with AMD. If mainly gaming and you want to get the highest fps as possible go with INTEL. But it depends on your settings, if you have like a 4K 60 Hz screen you can go for the AMD any time, no benefit with INTEL in this case. If...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

The problem is with this low voltage the clock speeds are lower too, but the monitoring tools only count and detect the peak clock speeds, that's why the perfomance is decreased in real world. This mechanism for the AMD CPU is called "Clock Stretching", so the boost clock looks like you have a...

My first time with a wireless mouse and as a Quake player I'm pretty impressed with the latency and response of this mouse, no difference to my wired mouse setup. It's a Logitech G305 with Artisan ZERO Yonsiki mouse feets (stock mouse feets are pretty bad) + Panasonic Eneloop PRO XX AAA...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Sweet great information, it seems the 32 GB moduels scales almost like 16 GB modules, 64 GB on ITX with decent speed / timings no dream anymore, now I need to get rid of these 2x16 GB kit and get this 2x32 GB kit instead. :angelic:

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

In general nice, more RAM is always great, but on a (very good) two DIMM slot ITX board the RAM speed will be very limited. Short example with an ASRock Z370 ITX and very good binned Samsung B-Die memory: With 2x8 GB I can easily OC my RAM to DDR4-4500 CL18 stable, booting up to DDR4-4700 no...

New and Improved Watercooling Sticky - Post Your Systems Here

Then good luck, every fan took me around 50 minutes with the brush to complete. But it's worth IMHO. My GTX 1070 (bought in 2017) runs at 28°C idle and 36°C full load @ 2050 Mhz @ 0.993 V @ 170 watt power draw, I guess the RTX 2070 would be almost the same under water temperature wise.

Small Update, I painted my Noctua NF-A20 PWM fans black, looks much better now :) Before: Now (I switched from push to pull fan setup, no performance difference, but much easier to clean the radiator now): Noctua NF-A20 PWM fans painted black: PC:

What Mouse and Keyboard Are You Using Right Now?

This is my gaming keyboard, because I don't need 100+ keys in-game. Since the good part of this custom DIY PCB, I can build my own firmware set the key layout, I use 4 layers in total, useable with 4 FN keys so I get a full size keyboard packed into a 40% keyboard at the end. It's not that...

If You Can't Beat Them, Join Them

I recommend to use the stock PSU cables from the Corsair SF series, very easy to handle in Ncase, as you can see in my build, plenty space to put all cables (ATX, PCIe, Molex, etc.) underneath of the PSU, the CPU power cable slighty behind motherboard and tray so you have enough room inside to...

Small update on my Jonsbo U1 Plus build: Now much better cable managment, tried to hide as many cables as possible, added on bottom a Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fan (I painted the case outside black, because no Chromax series exits yet for this amazing fan). On top at the PSU area I added a 92mm...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Because this are Noiseblocker fans on the radiator, always at push, because with pull they get much louder, this special fans need enough clearance if used in pull (like a shroud between fan and radiator with 2cm or more space), due the special form. With Noctua fans you don't have this...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Yes a single 240mm radiator is fine for this kind of hardware, I had in my first Ncase M1 watercooled build a very similar setup: Intel i7-3770 @ 4.15 Ghz (delidded) EVGA GTX 1070 @ 2 Ghz GPU / 4.5 Ghz memory 240mm radiator (27mm thick) with 2 good fans Gaming load at 24°C ambient and 850 rpm...

My first watercooling loop (Not the usual, I suspect)

Last year I had a similar idea like you to build a external radiator setup, but finally I just bought one Watercool MO-RA3 420 external radiator (it's 3 x 420mm radiator surface in total and you can use 4x 20cm or 9x 14cm fans and that's it) and you can put on this baby everything (stand, pump...

I would get the ASRock Z390 Phantom ITX instead of the ASUS board, it has much better VRM. Delid on Coffe Lake-S does not really change much, on regular Coffee Lake with crap TIM it made a big difference. For RAM, just get any DDR4 ram with Samsung B-dies on (for exampe G.Skill 3200 CL14 is...

Custom Air Silent PC ~11L - Performance Gaming PC - ITX - RTX 2080 Ti

Because he can. ;) No srsly the main issue with SSF is the noise level. If you want to put high end components into a small package, there is always a compromise between cooling and noise performance. That's why I go with Ncase M1 + external watercooling, the desk is clean and you have tiny...

Custom Air Silent PC ~11L - Performance Gaming PC - ITX - RTX 2080 Ti

Nice I like that, silence with no compromise to performance in a "small" package. I only don't like that the VRAM and VRM are not active cooled with an Tower cooler solution, it only keeps the GPU cool. I would prefer a Top-Blow cooler instead of a Tower cooler to have fresh air onto VRAM and...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

In general nice project, but how do you want to modify this DDC for a silent operation? I had a DDC 310 running at 2450 rpm (10 V throttling) mounted on a Aqua Computer Shoggy to elemiate any vibrations from the pump, this was ok and pretty silent, but without any additional work, a DDC running...
