Delidded 7700k, Liquid ultra on ihs, kryonaut between heatsink, and L9i
Before Delid - max 88c
After Delid - max 80c
Not exactly the 12-15c i heard quoted by many people but i think its down to the cooler, its just too small to hold the heat.
The plus side is just gaming on arma3 and dota 2...
Have managed a good undervolt on the 7700k and trident z.
Running 7700k @ 4.5 with 1.140
Running 4266 trident z @ 1.3v down from 1.4
Hitting 95 percentile on charts and beating out 7700k users on full sized boards running 4.8-5ghz. Dan case seems fine for airflow once you undervolt.
Nice build
I recently put together a 7700k, asus strix z270i, 16gb 4266 trident ram. I was getting 86-91c with usual windows installs and multitasking on the Nhl9i with the supplied noctua paste. Then repasted with thermal grizzly kryonaut ( Got 5c drop on my laptop ) and it maxed out at 88c...
People who have the noctua nhl9i what are your temps like?
I got 83c in 1 or 2 cores for a few seconds now and then during some installing and general task on windows. Have tried the noctua paste and thermal grizzly kryonaut both sit around that. Am I doing anything wrong? Xtu package hits 90c...

The 1700x being classed as a "Gaming" Cpu has done a total back flip
Many many many people wanting to get this have got disappointing me included. I was opening up to the wonderful soldered chip and supporting the underdog.
But i felt not quite trusted with any game dev supporting 8 cores, the...
Anyone who is concidering putting a Ryzen into the dan a4
Would you go 1700 or 1700x? I know the only difference between the 1700-1800x is binning, the chips are identical.
However the 1700 is 65w and the 1700x is 95w. Due to AMD using soldered chips (Thank god) I would say the temps would be...
