Is it possible that games just need a more optimized driver to get better frame rates and utilize the new hardware? This is the optimistic side of me asking because I really wanted this card to push 1440P frame rates higher than those benchmarks.
Still hesitant to upgrade from my 4770K. When games actually benefit from more than 4 cores, I will upgrade. Maybe 2nd gen i9s will be more than a rush to beat out Ryzen popularity.
You wont be able to fit it on the top. I mounted my H100i on the front. There is still about 3-3.5 inches before it runs into my EVGA 1080. your 240 would fit on the front.
I have enjoyed mine for the past few months. It was an incredible pain in the ass to cable manage in the back, but in the end, it was worth it. Perfect addition to ride up and down with my custom sit/stand desk.
30 bucks actually seems reasonable. Sometimes I want to see a movie, but don't have anyone to go with me. I would rather pay more to watch at home and eat my own food. Junior Mints at the theater are expensive!
It was probably the Gear VR or Google cardboard you tried. You would have known which one it was if there was a $600-$700 piece of tech strapped to your head.
Tried Oculus at a tech convention. I believe VR gaming is the future, but the resolution needs to be better. I just can't bring myself...
